Yes, I lined them, most of them with the cuff fabric I think. Sorry for missing birthday's, but Happy Birthday to all!! Had to buy a new computer for here and it's just taken time to get the house in a little order and everything unpacked. All is done today, just need to load the camera software and all will be good. My laptop is so old it won't even do the upgrades anymore will go shopping for a new one for the sewing room. Everything in good time as they say.

what part of Florida are you in? I have a sister in Melbourne and a brother in Tampa.

Glad to see you made it to your winter home.

Just wondering ...has anyone ever watched the "Fons and Porter Show" on TV. I dvr it because it is on weird times at my house (maybe 3 am) But I am hooked! I want to make every quilt they show (or almost every).
They also have a segment towards the end that is called "TIPS".

so I am feeling a contest coming on.......
between now and Halloween Oct 31 9pm est. For every tip you post on this thread I will put your name in the magic pot and I will draw out 2 winners. Only 1 prize per person.

So let see some tips. Sorry no duplicates...who ever posts it first gets the credit.

Also to make it easier for me...please put one tip per post...so there is no confusion on how many tips you are posting.

Okay......go.......

#1

When threading a needle on your sewing machine, place a piece of white paper behind the needle...the hole is now easier to see!

TIP:
When threading a needle, instead of wetting the end of your thread, wet the eye of the needle. The thread will slide right through.

Tip:

Small pieces of clear medical tape placed on the bottom of your rulers will keep them from slipping when you cut.

Tip:

Keep pipe cleaners near you machine. A quick poke around with a pipe cleaner in the bobbin area every time you change your bobbin will lift out the lint so that it doesn't build up.

TIP

Wear an apron while sewing and cutting so you don't get all the threads on your clothing.
