Brenda I send my prayers to you also and want to say I lost my father 32 yrs ago. I keep him with me in spirit always and sometimes have one way conversations on what to do.. I know he hears me.

I have finally finished my ornaments! now to box them and mail them tomorrow and well yipppee I sure hope they are enjoyed. This is a great swap and if I am smart I will make a few during the year so I can be ahead of the game but most likely.. I will forget so remind me someone ok? say about JUNE .. they are so pretty. How can you fail to enjoy the gift of an ornament made with care? I know it would be impossible for me.

Just read 10 pages of postings and finally caught up. Amazing how manynthings happen in a weeks time. Brenda so sorry to hear the news about your father. Prayers for you and your family. Glad you got to spend sometime before his passing. Anastasia happy birthday!! My son just turned 15 on 10-11-12(wierd date huh??). Christmas is such a beautiful holiday and like so many of you I too love to play Christmas songs especially when putting up the tree. I actually collect Christmas albums and have a big variety from Tony Bennet, Amy Grant, Mariah Carey, and latin album from my late father in law who was a well known Latin Musician. He passed several years ago of cancer and we play his album every Christmas. I am enjoying seeing all the pics of everyone's ornaments. I love and want them all. . I almost finished mine on my camping trip. Just a few more embellishments and I should be able to mail this week. Hope my partner likes it. Feeling blessed to be amongst such a giving and caring group of fellow quilters/crafters. Happy Monday all!

Brenda,

I am very sorry to have missed signing up for this swap. I have been off the air for a bit. I lost my Dad mid August and somehow this year has not been my year for keeping up.

I am very sorry to read that you are also experiencing some sadness in your family as well. Our Dad's are precious people in my lives.

Hopefully I will be better in tune for next years Ornament Swap. I enjoyed the one last year. I look forward to seeing all the pictures.

Oh my so many pages to read! Brenda, so sorry to hear about your dad. It is a blessing that you were able to say goodbye. Sending you prayers and hugs, and also to you owlvamp. So sorry to hear about your brother.

Elisabrat when I had to make ornaments to decorate a tree for a party I collected tons of small boxes and wrapped them in Christmas paper and tied on curly ribbon bows. They actually looked pretty cute. It is a great last minute filler ornament. When do you need ornaments by for the senior's tree?

OMG Krystyna I love those felt ornies, thanks so much for the link! Anastasia did you see the gnomie Santa, I think I will have to make him. Oh and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANASTASIA!

Darlene if you are in Ohio this coming weekend, http://www.ohioonestopshophop.com/

I haven't gotten out the Christmas albums yet, but soon! I love them all. My collection is all over the place musically. I have classical, Elvis, a bunch of country singers, the old Firestone christmas albums, and more.

And . . . I got TWO squishies on Saturday! And totally forgot to check the mail on Saturday. Geez, what can I say I was madly cross stitching. I had forgotten how time consuming that can be, and I hadn't done any since I got trifocals. Ouch!

Anyway, I received a really cute snowman ( and BONUS FABRIC) from Ladybug 1938. He is so cute, and the fabric she sent is beautiful. Thanks again Rosemary!

At from grann of 6 I received beautiful snowflakes! Aren't they lovely?! Thanks to you too Suzanne!

And this is what is making my head hurt trying to see close up (not easy with my trifocals)

Well, I just got a request to show the gold snowflakes. I have a pic of the first ones, but forgot to take a pic of the gold ones when I got them all finished. So maybe Elisabrat will post a pic when she get them.

They are done on the embroidery machine. I used organza to stitch on, they hold their shape better than just the stand alone stitching.
