Either one would be gorgeous! One of the prints in my scrappy block is sorta the creamsicle orange.

All of these blocks are beautiful :!: :!: :!: My piecing skills with half square triangles needs to improve before I am brave enough to participate in a swap of this caliber.
Sure do like looking though ;) ;) ;)

sapdoggie, this is the first time I've tried this block and really is quit easy, I always make a sample to see how it comes out then I will make the others if it's easy enough, you ought to try and give it a shot. We all have to start somewhere is what everyone keeps telling me.

There are all levels of quilters welcome in these swaps sapdoggie. The nine patches can be adorable if you use cute fabric!

So here's a mockup of my blocks. After reading through most of this thread I realize there is a concern for losing the points of the leaf when you sew on your sashing, etc. I followed the suggested pattern from quilters cache exactly and there's room on every point to sew a quarter inch seam. I have my pieces ready and I need to do this today yet because we hope to leave on holidays soon and I don't want this waiting for me when I get back. I'm not sure how long it will take to ship from Canada so sooner earlier than too late.

the colors are a lot truer in real life (as always!)
