I got this a yr ago at a yard sale for 1 dollar, and just opened it up and need some help...I have no directions. I was hoping someone has experience loading the bobbin. It looks like a silver bullet and is pointed at one end. any ideas how to load it?

:) Glad I could help! Sometimes it's so much easier to see it done than to try to decipher someone's description!

I won a Free Westinghouse straight stitch sewing machine in 1958 (I was in the 8th grade) and the motor burned out while my daughter (now age 43) was sewing on a 4-H project MANY years ago. Just can't throw it out, in hopes 'some day' I would find a motor to replace on it, not sure if that's possible but just can't part with it (even after all the harping my hsb gives me about throwing it out) OUCH!! Maybe I will contact Lostn51/Billy...

I wonder if you could take your motor someplace and have it rebuilt?
