Here is the class photo for the class of 18. The plan for assembling includes a pieced sashing I found so I seperated them for the pic. One is going to have to go on the back, haven't quite made up my mind which one. I love how they work together and they are all lovely, thanks so much for the time and energy you put into them. (thinking about quilting w/ orange thread) The sashing will be mostly grey w/ pops of orange and yellow.

Since I'm uploading pics might as well include a pic or two of the little naked

The package has arrived; I had enough time to open it but no time to pull anything out, lol. Thank you all for my beautiful blocks! Hopefully, I can spread mine out like Kass with my fairy wheels and start making plans at some point today. I'll show you what I can.

Kass, your chicken is precious.

I would like to clarify something, the block I chose to put on the back is not in any way considered as a "throw away" or inferior block by me. One has to go to the back as a simple math issue, the choice was made based on the color story layout I have planned (I just told a fellow boomer I may dance naked in the moonlight, but I do it in an ordered row! lol) But do not despair a cool back has been planned w/ that singleton as the center attraction.

Five of these blocks will get hand embroidery and beading on them. All of them will get special FMQ on them. Thank goodness I'm much better at FMQ than piecing. We have a three week vacation in the van so lots of time for the hand sewing. Then they will be made into three 'sister' quilts that will honor my sister and father be used for wall hangings. I'll put a picture up when they're done.

Let me know if I missed you for feedback. It's been a pleasure everyone.
Can't wait to see what you do with your quilt. Now that I am holding your tinkerbell block in my hands, I am amazed at the fantastic stiching. You're inspiring me to try something new with my machine! I'm afraid that my first attempt at machine applique was not nearly as precise as yours is. You are an artist. So glad you participated in this boom!

Just tested my grey sashing fabric (not traditional quilting cotton) and it is washable and doesn't shrink and is in my stash, win, win, win. But I will have to buy the orange, I don't have enough of any one orange in the stash.

My mom has received my blocks. We are waiting out the rain in Charlottesville VA. heading to Harrisonburg to see the VA a quilt museum hopefully tomorrow. One tire on rig (we have 8) does not want to hold air so yet another trip to tire shop first thing in morning. May be a week before I get to touch those precious blocks.
Keep posting those pics,
