It will just be uglies for me. Don't have any of the civil war since it is really not my style and live in a small town too where my LQS doesn't carry it either. Have plenty of uglies though!

Ok, once again I'm confused. Really? The last few swaps have been FQ's that measure 18x21. Now it says 18x22, which is always what I thought it should be. So, how big exactly is a FQ?

Ellie, when I cut my FQ's I cut 1/2 yard of fabric (18") in half, on the fold. That's how every quilt store I've been in cuts them. So if they don't measure 18" x 22" at this point it's because the width of fabric is less than 44".

Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, I'm in for Civil War FQ's. No to uglies.

I'm in for Civil War, too.
I also cut mine just like Sheri. If they're not at least 18" x 22" it's because the fabric isn't exactly 44"-45" wide. Also if anyone buys pre cut fqs, or your lqs cuts them, they may not be exactly 18" x 22".

But I absolutely try to make sure mine are at least that size.

Regards,
Kif

Hi Ellie,
I have so many uglies, too...but not all are 1 yard. Last time I think we sent equal to 1 yard, with fqs being the smallest allowed...as in no scraps.. But I'm not sure if that's how the rules were, because I was in the hospital with my hubby. I did send an angel pkg to Jaba (that's ironic, eh?? Saying I sent an angel pkg of ugly fabrics..lol). I sent several fqs. Jaba in turn sent me some of her uglies in return, even though it was an angel pkg. So I guess Jaba and I are "ugly fabric angels". .

I do have a pkg I've been gathering things to send you, I've been saving salvaged for you, and I've got a monkey fabric, along with a few other items. I'll be sending it out next week when Jclingenray gives out our names and I mail my swap partners pkg.

Hugs friend,
K

I just finished 3 long days at work and have been out of the loop. I've read my PMs and think I'm caught up. Whew!

Here's who I have for the Civil War FQ swap so far:

WMUTeach
Karol
Nancyw
Letsquilt
Karen G
SheriR
Kiffie2413

For the UGLYs swap, I have:

Sewellie
Bullock2us

If I missed anyone please let me know!

I have a 3 day weekend - well-deserved, I might add and I'm going on a shop hop! It's a smaller one so it's called a Bunny Hop. Cute, huh?

And, yes, a Fat Quarter should be 18 x 22.
