April I SPy Swap Open ( Until April 9th, 2016)

Irene - they are very easy to make and a lot of fun to do. You can search both Quilting Board and google for a lot of ideas for different variations of I Spy Quilts - and if you want to, PM me your email and I will send you some of my favorite links.
And my - you are ambitious - I had never heard of Patches of the Cross quilts, but they are a lot of cutting and, I assume, had piecing with all of the angles etc. I do spend a lot of time in Dr's offices, so handwork like that would be a good thing, but I usually take easy knitting projects that can be picked up and put down easily.
Post a picture of your quilt when you get finished with it!!

rbwiese I would love some of your favorite links. I will pm you my email or you can send me the links through pm.
I just started my POTC a few weeks ago, I got my fabrics washed and pressed, traced my template on freezer paper, ironed my papers on the fabric, and used the glue stick method to baste my honeycomb shapes. Tomorrow I will work on the first block.....goshes I hope I'm doing all this right, I have never English paper pieced before....other then a little practice center I did for Pat's mug rug this month. I am learning so much about the process.
I would love to post photos of the quilt, but it's going to be at least a year when I finish this. I intend this to be mainly hand work that I will do at night when my insomnia kicks in.

Irene C. it's called "fussy" cutting because you have to fuss over it more than random 5" square cutting. Objects need to be centered, heads not cut off, etc. So it's a bit "fussy"... (Never fuzzy.)
I'm glad to see some new people joining in this swap. I am going to sit out this time. I have so many squares now and need to use some first.
Everyone have fun!
