WOW what an eventful (and NOT a fun event either), couple days
here in the land of Colorado.

Monday & Tuesday we had temperatures in the low 70's (Monday was 73).
Wednesday the temps were in the 20's, and a blizzard was raging outside.

Wednesday about noon we lost power, and didn't come back on until 2pm
yesterday (26 hours without power), the condos that I live in were built in
the early 1980s and are on a 3 Phase transformer, so we had PARTIAL power.
The bathroom had full power, one side of our bedroom, the fridge, & garbage
disposer had power, but no lights, stove or microwave.

So hubs ran power strips (surge protectors) from the bathroom outlet, and
the side of bedroom that did have power. He was able to get it so we at least
have, power to the TV, and to the internet router.

Living on the 3rd floor DOES have one good advantage, heat rises! so it only
dropped down to 66 degrees and maintained that temp all day until power was
back up. Once the power came back on it took the furnace 2-1/2 hours to bring
the temp back up to 70.

All I can say is I hope the next 2 storms coming in (this weekend) won't be as
bad as the blizzard on Wednesday.

By the time the blizzard stopped on Wednesday evening we had 16 inches of
snow where I live, and where my hubs works (25-30 miles north) there was
24 inches of snow (in the least possibly more).

Oh did I ever say I HATE COLORADO in the winter & spring? well me say it now
just in case.

I HATE WINTER & SPRING in COLORADO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I HATE WINTER & SPRING in COLORADO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll remember you this summer when I'm miserable in the Florida heat & humidity, Louise. I pretty much hibernate inside with the a/c. Sorry you've had such bad weather.

On a positive note my avatar is five-years-old today & has a 19-month-old brother. Grandchildren are wonderful!

LOL

It does get hot in Colorado in the summer, but it is NOTHING like
the heat and humidity of Florida.

Of course it has been known to snow in June, July, and August here.
granted that is normally only up in the high country (like Pikes Peak).

About 20 years old when I was living in NC, and working in a cotton
mill where the heat was horrible. A co-worker mentioned how he wish
it would drop some snow. To which I replied if you want snow in July
you need to go to CO. He bet me $50 that it doesn't snow in CO in
July.

A few days later we was closed for the week of July 4th. Low and behold
on July 4th some tourists got stranded on the top of Pikes Peak. So the
Monday after that week off went into work and Roger handed me $50
and said I should never have doubted a CO girl.

I still have 11 people from March who have not let me know that they have received their March packages. Please let me know if you have received. I should not have to send out individual messages asking when sending me notification is part of rules. Thank you, lecture is over. Lori
