I guess the Amish are everywhere. I didn't know they were in Ms. The 2nd largest group of them is 70 miles south of me and then there is another one 45 miles north of me. It's funny when we have neighborhood yard sales they come in a big van pulling a trailer with a non Amish driving them around to the sales. I have a big farmer's market about 20 miles from me and the produce is so cheap that even if you buy a lot and end of throwing some away it's still cheap. I haven't been there for a few years but everything is so good. Home grown tomatoes are the best. Now I'm waiting for the plumber to come and fix a pipe on my NEW water heater that the building inspector didn't like, then I'm off for yard sales. Everyone have a great day

My goodness Pat you are having such problems with that water heater. Since I live in a tiny town 1 convience store ,a firehouse,post office and several churches.I go to neighboring towns to their farmers market.They're just 15-20 min.away. We do have several Amish communities around here. I used to have a dollar shop about 15 miles from home and they came in to shop a lot. Very nice people.Extremely hard working and their kids mind so well,even the toddlers. Have fun at the yard sales. Maybe I'll go to some tomorrow. Today i'm making kosher dill pickles.

Dill pickles, now you're talkin'!! Love them. wish we had a farmers market close. The nearest one is a 30 minute drive going 75 mph on the expressway, then it's not to cheap either. I'm better off going to the farm stands. And not having a car for the past 2 1/2 weeks, i'm going stir crazy.
Pat, let's hope that water heater is fixed for good and never gives you any more trouble. The problems of being a homeowner. I feel your pain.
Yeah!!! get my car back tonight. Dh gets his back next Tues.
Gave up on the ugly turkey, will start over on a new one next week, after all, it's not due for a few more weeks, so i can figure out a cool looking one. have a great day all

Lynnie glad your getting your cars back finally. I got 1 qt. and 9 pts. of dill pickles made today. Whew,I need a nap.lol At least todays temp. was only 75* and overcast again.
