Yes it will be one block a week. We will start with Alabama and end with Wyoming in Dec. There will be no patterns given. You will have to have the book. There will be no sign ups and you can do as few or as many as you want Paintmejudy and I wanted to make all the stars in this book so we thought maybe others would like to also so I got permission to start this thread for all to post their pictures of their stars. I have not started it yet. Will probably start it Monday. It will be in the Block of the Month section. I will PM you a link when I post it. Please join us.

I like it that the stars are not just simple ones that you see everyday. What thread is this under? Could you send me a link? Thanks for letting me know about this. Judy

I love the different stars and designs you can make using pp but its not for me I guess I got this wonderful block from Alisha today called Treasure Box. Had never seen it before but LOVE it..it will be in my quilt bucket list for sure! THANKS! Joan

You know I'm in, Florence, and can't wait to get started -- I love that book! And FYI anyone who may be interested -- some of the dealers on Amazon are selling good used copies at really great prices if you are interested. I bought what was called "used" and I don't think the spine was ever cracked!!!

I have received blocks from shaysmema and deltadawn. Wasn't sure if I had posted yet. Love them. Thanks so very much. Hopefully will be able to work on more blocks. My grandson arrived Dec 5th , so all my time has been spent with him.

Just a quick update from me.... I have pictures but I need to get them on the computer, then I will post them.

I have all of my blocks completed except three.
The last three are for heyjami, LV2sew2011, and Roseysue. The rest have either been mailed or will be sent this week.

Hopefully the last three will get out soon, as well.

I have received blocks from everyone except:

Abby's Mom
alikat110
Aully
babyfire04
deltadawn
fabric_fancy
fromzstore
girlscouts1
goldendog55
heyjami
mosher92
Sarah Fitz
shaysmema

If you are on this list and have sent me a block, please let me know. I have been a bit scattered lately. I will take another look if you have already sent me a block.

Hope everyone is having fun!

Thank you.

i mentioned in an earlier post that i had a lot of outside pressures and was trying to do blocks as a way of lessening them. the main pressure was my 92 yr old mother. last week she went into the final stages and on friday evening she passed. this is a blessing as she has wanted to go to be with my father and the 3 children that predeceased her. i am happy for her release, but it has taken all my energy and slowed my mind. i will get back to making blocks, and you will have them by feb.1st. i just don't seem able to concentrate right now. sorry.

Nancia...so sorry to hear of your loss. Even it is a release, it is still hard and it still hurts! Prayers for you and your family.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I understand the "blessing" of her passing and wish you peace in your heart and mind also. May you find comfort in memories of happier times.

Nancia,

So sorry about your mother. Take your time. Although, it can be therapy for all things life sends our way.
