You know how I solved this problem in my house? My husband does all his own laundry and own folding. Of course so do my kids. I hate laundry

wowsa take 12 hours off and this place has crazy posts! love it. did I ever get the answer to what is a grown up block? will go back and check that out. Must be at least a page behind the times, omg overwhelming (grin).

finished Jabas second block forgot if the fruit was this one an the feathered old fashioned one the ruby swap or vs versa.. argh but its done and at first I was unsure about that fabric but wow I really like it. What is the tea colored fabric line Jaba? its truly very nice. I went with the blue that is in it hope you like it too!

I made.. cookies instead of a pile of blocks yesterday. Tea at 10 come on over! oodles of them oh and carrot cake too.. ready to get sewing again. Cooking sweets is highly over rated but my man lives for sweets. Heck he would do laundry for cookies.. lol. And his laundry is folded.. and stacked three feet high on the dresser. Why? because his dresser is always FULL> Clothes hooker. lol he NEEDS it all so I got sick of cramming it in there to look like it was pulled out of a rear end wrinkled so there they sit, decorater laundry piles. love it so stylish in some cultures I just cant figure out which one.

You guys are so fast. I have I looked 30 left to do and not all fabric in.. will post but there are like 9 I havent received yet .. Sept first was the cut off date so still a few days to trickle in.

I am wondering if anyone finished Abbys mom blocks. I received yellow but the tiny sample of the other fabric is so hard to see I cant get a feel for what its to coordinate with. help! Abby and Nexxus are up today on the sewing block. New machine, oh so much easier to use an no fabric hoping or spool and the nail holding it in flying at me if I go faster than a snail! and oh they are so quiet these days these new fangeled machines. Oh oh and the tension.. it works, no pulling. novelty here real novelty. I will love thise little machine. Not oneofyour big fancy ones but its a brother 6000ci and well I really like it. Simple girl, simple pleasures. This is a big one for me. Like Christmas only better.

I think we have until Sept 7 to send out F8's. Three weeks from the time we received our list, which was Aug 17th.

Abby's Mom told me that the flowers on her fabric are maroon/pink and yellow/dark yellow.

Elisabrat, that fabric is Kashmir ll by Moda. That's what I sent out for the rubies group. I guess I have some raspberries coming my way, haven't got any of those back yet. Got the baby quilt quilted yesterday and started sewing some more blocks that will be headed home tomorrow. Going to sew today after I mow the lawn. Just a quick update for diamonds:
Have not received F8's from:
1000projects
areinn
daisey
lv2sew2011
marcialee
mosher92
tammoo
Have mailed back finished blocks to:
abby'smom, charlottemarie, chewboo (tomorrow), elisabrat, fraew, goldendogs, joanelizbay (tomorrow), ljdugas, marytoddliz, missgigglewings, moonrise, nexxus831, quiltermomma, roseysue, savannarandons, themamahauser, twinriverfarms, and yosamitesa.
The rest of them that I have sewn are in the rubies group so will post it there. Will update tonight and post pics if you want to peak, SheriR yours is cut and ready to sew.

LoL so I read your post to my hubby. His FIRST comment was..."she should fill his drawers with fabric, problem solved!"

@ elisabrat: I also received yellow with white flowers. From Abby's mom: "The fabric has some large Maroon flowers along with smaller pink flowers and some light yellow flowers with darker yellow contrast. I probably shoud have said no red, orange, purple...". Hope this helps.

@ SheriR: ooh more Civil War Patriotic fans...yay!!!
