It's super important for everyone to clean the lint around your bobbin and feed dogs. I talked to a repairman about this. He said someone came in with their machine, and he called to ask how it was working, after he had cleaned it. The lady told him that it ran fine, but the felt pad under the feed dogs was missing. Turned out that the felt pad was all lint!

Got block from girl scouts yesterday. Will upload pict tomorrow. Its very pretty!
My granddaughter loves to take my brush and "clean" my bobbin case. Bought her a kids singer machine
But its not worth having. Is 7 too young for an electric real machine??

Hope everyone is ready to mail tomorrow. I still have 8 out. If you can't I understand that but would really appreciate it if you would send my fabric back so I can complete my sets. I sent out everything I had. I'm making set for myself and my daughter in laws. It's been fun and am looking forward to the next Boom. To all of you that have made me one thank you so much, I sincerely appreciate it and love the ones I have gotten.

I am making place mats out of my blocks also, I love how they have turned out! jan, where did you buy your fruits and Veggie fabric? I have a friend who wants me to make her a set of placemats for her summer table, they eat a lot of meals outside in the summer.

A lot of my "fun fabric" I get on 4my3boyz.com I love that site and the fabric is really reasonable. I make stuff to sell at craft shows and fun fairs. So I do a lot of smaller type stuff to sell. I think the fabric you have would be great to make cute little things out of, coasters, pot holders and such.

I am not sure the significance of the 7 but will make a place mat out of it and I am sure a grand kid or niece or nephew will know it was made just for them!

There was a lady at our quilting guild that said you should change the needle and clean the bobbin case after every 5th bobbin you put in your machine. I do clean the lint out but have to admit I only put in a new needle when the old one breaks! but I do change the needle depending on what I am sewing, I just reuse it again. I just could not afford to sew if I threw them away after only 5 bobbins filled with thread, heck I can go thru that much in a few hours!

Not real sure MaryT, i googled farmer's market fabric and ended up buying from a couple of places and then some on e-bay. I have seen it now on some web sites that are closing it out, so probably cheaper...good thing. If I had any I'd sure send it to you, but I really sent out everything except for 1 piece of lemons and 1 of strawberries. I'll find my invoice if I can and let you know....just google and see what you can come up with.

wow talk about sneaking in under the clock good for you Nancia. You did what you said you would do. I won't doubt you again. I am impressed. I think still it would give me a heart attack to work like that. You obviously have a non nerve button that I was born without! can't wait to see all the postings of your blocks. I started putting mine together tonight for the ruby group as I had received all of those. framed them once and will put one more on and then whip that puppy together. I am excited. Thanks for the suggestions on what colors to use double frame is perfect! then onto the bees. that will be finished in January. so I can get ready for all your fabrics to play with in the coming months! Mine is already cut and enveloped. Soon to be sitting on your doorstep! tada! is everyone in for another round? I am going only one swap a large one. less blocks and better quality is the goal. half a year back into it and it feels really good thanks to all of your sample back into quilting blocks
