I love tumbling blocks and garlic and yippeee I get a block. So I have 3 blocks in envelopes ready to go but I gotta wait for more money for postage. Tee hee. By the time I get some I should have a few more blocks to send with them. And hopefully have this baby quilt on the frame. I had to clean my sewing room explosion because I couldn't think anymore to make more blocks. but now I have ideas for the rest. Some are going to be applique.. ooo another new thing for me those might take me 4 months hahahha.. we'll see. Have to get more ink. Printer won't print in just black cause my magenta is empty... arghhh

Dad is always amazed at the variety of blocks. Even with the same pattern he likes how different fabric switches it all up. He is really all better after his stroke in May but we told him he doesn't have to go back to his house if he doesn't want to...he seems to like being here and "helping me" and spoiling our cats. When the f8's came in and I was shopping my stash he was right in there with me offering his suggestions.

That's nice. I really enjoy hearing about men in this craft. It makes me happy inside.

moonwork, that block is a cube in a corner right? I lost that pattern any way you might have a spare? I love that it. I still have lady bugs left over so when I finish the rest of yours I will make another one.. something a bit more challenging.

see you later gaters if the internet is still here. busy weekend with campers so they might use it up til midnite then I sneak in and get a few in before its gone again .. I had no clue the internet had bits and bites and you can buy x amount of them thought it was like open ended. But we use our bits and bites up here on busy times and well that leaves me without .. you guys! I will pray those downloading movie guys are staying home but it seems everyone and their brother/mother/cousin/neighbor came up with them last night. Big old parade of ugly cars coming into my park lol.. ok its their park but they shouldnt all come here at one time. Big dance tonight etc.. oh joy then the fun really begins. Security calls/door knocking all hours of the night. phone, get the gate (rather not go away) then the mass exodus on Monday which oh darn see you next season! phew. tomorrow is kids festival/craft faire kids dance... one big happy time. Happy campers everyone! I like the kids ramble here, they remind me of being young too, they laugh they scream with joy, this is all good memories for them. Too bad they have to bring the grown ups with them each time lol

Elisabrat...It's from Marci Bakers's "It's not your Grandmothers Tumbling Block" book. She has a video on youtube also that shows how to do it using strips rather than "y" seams. Much easier that way but still a challenge.
