Ok.. so.. tried machine applique for the first time.. did those itty bitty zigzag.. and.. I want to stab it.. it makes the little edges all fray-ey.. I hope it holds tho.. I think i'm gonna go back over it with embroidery floss and make it all pretty and for sure these pieces aren't going anywhere after that. Aside from that.. it's pretty stinkin cute. Not as cute as Moonworks' but pretty cute.

Yep I still have cake! oh that's true you just reminded me.. when my cousin was my roommate and I shoved her in the upstairs to live, she was one of those in-denial alcoholics.. but the one and only time I drank with her was New Years, and we had a HUGEEEE bottle of tequila and we got it 7/8th gone before we went to bed (yes I threw up, but I didn't have a hangover!) and the next morning with her hangover she fell down the stairs.

Back when I was married, my Bday was the 15th, my Ex's was the 4th, his mom's was the 11th.

Boy, I have missed her. but I have got a little hand sewing in while waiting. Have a good weekend. Phannie

Know exactly how you feel on that tequila elisabrat, happened to me on my 40th b-day. Love that stuff, yup tequila and tonic, most wonderful. But it really hurts when everyone is buying you shots, hugged the porcelain god all night long. Ouch!!!! all the next day, even hurt to walk.
Phannie1 happy sewing again! It'll be like getting a brand new machine. You'll be able to crank those blocks right out the door now.

Hello all ... just checking in. The batting for my baby quilt is in the dryer getting wrinkles out and as soon as that is done I can baste the sucker and start quilting. Haven't decided what quilting motif I'm going to use yet ... hmmmm.

While batting is drying/de-wrinkling I took pic's of the blocks I received recently (*recently* meaning the last week or so!). So now you can Oooooh and Ahhhhh all my pretties and be oh so jealous!!!

By the way ... my BD is October 18. Another October baby here. Yeah ... February is a very cold month and clearly our parents had ways of staying warm!!

First two blocks are from CharlotteMarie - love the fabric selection!!

Second two blocks are from MoonWork - including the "incredible growing block" that she just kept adding to. Love it!

Last block is from our wonderful hostess April. This block is SOO COOL!!

Thank you all, I am really very pleased all around with the blocks I am getting in. I'm also getting a good mix of 12" and other size blocks - so thanks again for helping me out in that regard.

Also ... I believe that CharlotteMarie received my blocks. Pic's below. The Log Cabin is the one I called "Frog Soup". The purple fabric in the gecko block is the fabric I received from her.
