Elisabrat don't know what I'm going to do with you, mercy girl, no clean for you, you deserve a break so sew sew sew all you want, between those naps. You've got to do something though, you have days and nights mixed up me thinks!! Finally finished the wedding quilt this morning, got up at 4:45 and its squared up and now to sew the binding on, oh my, then all that hand sewing. I'll be sitting in that chair with this big old quilt on me and feel like I'm in an even. Guess I could just go nude and do it, hubby liked that at one time, but sorry to say that was 15 years ago. He'd look at me now and think what the hell is the matter with her?!?!?
No blocks came home to me today, hopefully tomorrow, still have 10 out there somewhere. Better get with the binding, check in later.

Oh dear Jaba - just send me more F8's and we will send more completed blocks!
WEnt for my eye exam today and he said I don't need new glasses = the problem is cataracts!! My mom didn't get surgery until mid 70's and I haven't hit 60 - yet! Not ready for someone to start poking my eye EWWEEEE - he said it may be why sometimes colors seem to match and then not match - hope all my colors played well in your blocks!

So to make me feel better - hubby and I rented a double kayak and went around the lake and had lunch sitting out there with the sun shining at 80 degrees. So nice and calm (and of course had a double set of glasses on cause my eyes are still dialated)

Traveling Gramma, give it up and get those cataracts removed. It's not a big deal, trust me I know 1st hand and I was in my 50's. No more night glare from those awful headlights and it's nice being in the sun, as long as it doesn't get too hot, plays hell combined with the high blood pressure pills and the medication for MS and thyroid cancer. Geezs I think I should be falling apart, but all is good and most days just happy to be here and walking. But that water glare will get you every time, but that happens anyway. Yup I'd gladly send you more F8's and you can make as many as you want. If it will make you feel better I'll send you a little sympathy card........

I'm glad that evening sunset made you feel better! Couldn't help it, loved that pic so calm and soothing. I'm jealous, have fun in Phoenix, hope it doesn't get too hot today, take lots of pics and show all of us the really cool ones so we can dream of 1 day maybe being able to achieve that status (yah right uh?) Any way.....have a great time!!

TravelingGramma ... have not had cataract surgery but have had two other eye surgeries. One was to remove a small growth on my eye-ball ... it was like a small cyst on the surface of eye. One quick swipe with a scalpel and it was gone. The other eye surgery was Lasik and I had both eyes done. The surgery itself was relatively painless and fairly quick - and from what I heard somewhat similar to cataract surgery as in both cases the lens of the eye has to be lifted.

Lasik surgery is WEIRD though. They fit a ring around the orbit of your eye to keep it open and immobile. I couldn't see or feel the incision, and after it they had to smooth the lens back into place and I did see that happening, it was like a little windshield wiper going across my eye. SOOO WEIRD!! They had given me a Valium pre-op to relax me and told me to keep my eyes closed as much as possible post-op. So I had my eyes closed the whole 45 minute trip home. When I felt the car stop in our drive I opened my eyes and immediately shut them because I felt *something* running out of my eyes and down my cheeks. I put my hands to my cheek to wipe off the "wet stuff" and held my palms out to my husband and asked him "what color are my hands" with a very anxious voice. He said "why - they're normal". Oh thank God ... I just wanted to make sure it wasn't blood or he was turning the car around to drive right back. But it was just water from my eyes running.

That moment of worry was the only bad thing about my surgery. Very little pain, minor discomfort, and my vision is 20-15 (as opposed to 20-500).

So no worries ... go get the cataracts taken care of and you'll be good as gold.
