That sure looks great! Love how the yellow really pops and doesn't look just "girly cute".

With a very heavy heart I want to let everyone know that my Dad has passed away this afternoon. Just yesterday he was at the mailbox looking for those last blocks as he "knew" they'd be in there. He passed without knowing the blocks were going to be for him.

We had a perfectly normal morning with him teasing that I was behind on sewing, he got out the ironing board, iron and proceeded to iron what little needed to be ironed. He asked me if there was anything else to iron and I know him not now and he turned away from me walked a few steps and collapsed.

I believe he had a massive stroke and he was in no pain until he passed several hours later.

Sissy & I are honoring his wishes of no services but will try to have a get together at the lake this coming weekend so we can share happy memories and funny stories of him and his antics. Goodness knows there should be plenty of antics and stories to share.

Love you Dad...may you finally catch one of those young girls you been chasing all these years and catch the fish of your dreams.

Oh sweetie, I am so sorry to hear about your dad. He was dear to all of us, too. I am so glad you had him living with you, and all the laughter you shared made the rest of us daughters envious each time you would post about him. I'm sending you a lot of hugs and I know he will be watching over every quilt you make.

I beleive he knew that quilt was for him and he loved it and you so very much. You allowed him to be busy and fulfilled and loved on to the end of his days and that is so rare in these days. May you have a blessed time with your sis and laugh and cry.

Oh dang you girlies .... my eyes are leaking again! If I keep this up, I won't able to say I'm chubby due to water weight!

He truly was a dear man that will be missed by so many.

Thanks again for all the happy thoughts.

BTW... I'm thinking of turning his bedroom into a real sewing room since he was appalled at the chaos I called a sewing room before.
