My fabric is going out today. I sealed each piece in Saran Wrap and put it in the legal letter sized envelopes....not sure what it will cost.....but, look for it Steropes......you should get it by Sat. or Monday........and have fun with it......I just want from it what you wish to do with it....
Thank you, again, April, for your part in this swap......I know you put a lot of effort into getting those lists made up. I ended up with 17 in my group.....luckily, I had an extra piece of fabric to send. But I sure could have sent a coordinating piece if I had needed to......

I have to go through the fabric museum (aka stash) and pick out some fabric to use then I will be washing and cutting this weekend. So I expect mine to go out in the mail early next week.

Can we request that, say, only black or white be added? or only green or whatever? and really.. here is one very important thing for me... no SunBonnet Sues! LOL. I am just not into those.
And have anyone of you found that a particular type/style of fabric works better for these swaps or that a type doesn't work well? What about batiks?

Of course I want to pick the perfect fabric! LOL.. yeah, yeah... it will be whatever I find in my overflowing stash that suits my fancy. I have a couple different ones in mind..
Thanks!

I am new to this swap too, but from what I see in rules and discussion, asking for a color (only black, etc) is okay but the block choice is up to the swap partner (technically sun bonnet sue is a block pattern). That said, I doubt any partner so loves sunny sue that she will insist on making your block that pattern if you mention you don't like it! As to fabric working best, I think almost any will work fine if you have an idea of what you want to do with blocks incorporating it. I have seen single tones, batiks, great prints, solids in albums of blocks done in previous swaps. Can't wait to see what you pick!

I'm apart of this group, and I have picked out a nice blue fabric that I will be getting into the mail and sent out as soon as possible!

Ok.. picked out the fabric! need to wash and cut it up then it will be off in the mail by next week. I was going to go with something plainer and restrict other fabrics to a couple solids, then I got to thinking.. this is a friendship quilt, and I want to let your creativity flow! So I switched gears, found this fabric tucked away and knew it is the one! I am using the same fabric in both groups so I can make a big quilt with it! And there is even enough left over to use it for a border too! I think I may have gotten it to use as backing... I dunno.. it is being boomeranged now!

Hello all!
I will be leaving for Canada early tomorrow morning for a work conference and be returning late on Thursday. I am not sure how often I will be able to check in as it is a super busy one with events all day and dinners too. It is the World Credit Union Council conference and The Global Women's Leadership Network as well.
So I hope you all have fun, behave and try not to miss me too much LOLOL You can always send me a PM or email and I will answer as soon as I can.
Hugs
April
