Love your Red, White & Blue fabric!!
When you send your blocks out they should measure 12.5". Once the person receives it and puts the block in to their quilt it will measure 12". When you see the blocks at quilterscache that say 12" they will generally end up 12.5 when you are done sewing because that is there unfinished size and you are technically sending unfinished blocks home. The 12 refers to the finished size.
Hope this helps.
Frenchfryqueen please join us. The postage for a small group would probably cost you about $19-$20 for everything from sending your F8 to returning blocks.
Hugs

Noone of us is perfect and its just to have FUN and share friendships. I think you will have a blast with us!

Thank you so much I am very excited!

I took one of my envelopes to the PO and they said it would cost .65. So I have the stamps and I also bought a book of forever stamps
Now just waiting.

UOTE=jaba;5801957]Depending on your fabric and the way you package it, in a legal size envelope 45 - 65 cents to send out your fabric to each person. Sending each one their finished block back 65 - 85 cents . Out of the US is $1.10 If you want to be totally safe figure $1.30 per person for how many is in your group. Postage goes up at the end of the month by a cent or 2, sorry my new chart is downstairs, but this is close.[/QUOTE]

I was going to say I think mine was about fifty total but you also have to know half is up front then the rest is a bit at a time as you complete your blocks over three months. I had a small and a large group. The trick is to get that envelope as flat as you can. regular sized envelope. it has to fit throught he machined slot at the post office. if its too fat or bulky its .65 or now like .67 isnt it? I know it was going up soon. I think fold it longer than fatter is the key and stay away from really bulky with zipper baggies. those zipper parts will raise your postal if its a concern at all. just think its mailing 15 or 16 envelopes regular or up to .20c more international to Canada was I think only .20 c more so not bad. they weigh more going home so figure .65 for the return on average. per fabric swap.

ok I see I am on the list. there are a good number of us signed up .. OH Mary C in Canada thank you so much foryour tea pot patterns. they are great! sorry almost forgot to post that but she sent me a set of photo copies of patterns for asian tea pots ann they are so cool lucky me.
