I've torn my pieces into 13.5 x 15 for the most part. You get the same amount of square inches of would allow you to use my piece as a full 12.5 x 12.5 background if you wished to applique on it.

Be glad to get all the info .... Dad ironed and wrapped all the pieces today so they'll fit in the envelopes so I just need to do my labels and notes.

YAHOO thanks April!!!

ok here is my very good grand suggestion. Last year as I received your fabrics I wrote what the fabric looked like next to your name. tiny notes. it really helped me only once things got mixed a bit and that note kept me from.. panic mode. Ikept them all in a box as they came in and worked front to back. kept your fabrics in the envelope they came in to and wrote on the form from April that she will send you, wrote on the envelope the day it was received. no questions double check check. If you have reviewed any of the postings several times people wrote help what did this person send or whose fabric is this? by noting what you get when it comes in you can save yourself one tiny worry. I am excited. I have it all ready to go. hope you can read handwriting no printer so lucky you!!

I love the birdhouse fabric and all the other fabrics posted...it is so hard to not play with them all!!
I am going to work on splitting the small groups up today but may not be done until late this evening as the wake for Aunt Doreen is today.
See you all soon.

Great idea Elizabrat! Another idea is to cut the return address off the envelopes. Pin any notes and the address to the fabrics as you open them, then also to the finished block. Hey, any mental tricks are helpful as I age!
