wow ladies! it's really bad over your side of the world right now! thoughts and prayers by the doz to you all! hope you keep safe & well!!

my life feels rather like a circus just now!! lol...

my DD2 and I are up to our ears preparing for her wedding next year. our darling couple announced to me that they had decided on a date for may next year!! eeek!! so it's been all go go go! trying to book the main aspects before our chosen dates are gone! cross fingers and toes!! lots of enquiring emails have gone out over the weekend!! we will see what happens

we've been eating & dreaming 'ebay' over these last few days, as we are doing all the stationary ourselves! wow!! i didn't realise what a huge job it was going to be!! Dayle!! i need you over here!! you're good at stationary things etc!! your scrap booking skills would be handy!! lol...
good job col is away!! he'd die if he was to see the money being spent right now!!! but, we're having fun all the same!!

we went to see the venue as well on friday, so that's booked...
they have just started hosting weddings, and we got a fantastic price too!! wooohooo!!! it will double next year! god had been very good to us!! we're over the moon with it!!
here's the website, you can take a look at the pictures...

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I think we will be ok for now. They say possible high winds later this afternoon. But we will just wait and see.

I looked at the facility, it is beautiful. Will you plan an outside affair? The backdrop is just beautiful. And I definitely agree: good thing Col is out to sea.....His job is to walk his "little girl" down the aisle, no need in getting involved in everything else.....hehehe

I hope you and the girls have fun preparing for the big event. Phoebe will be just a wee bit to young to be a flower girl......aaawwwwww.....she would be so cute.

Are you making the wedding dress or is she going to give you a break and buy one? Can you tell I am excited. I only had a son so when he got married I only got to help a little bit. But I do have a granddaughter and I am hoping she will let me be involved when she gets married in 10 yrs or so....hehehe

Keep us posted and tell the happy couple Congratulations.

Oh Jacquie, how exciting. The venue looks wonderful and I'm sure the wedding will be awesome! Of course you'll be spending money like crazy for a while, but it will be worth it when your lovely daughter has her beautiful day. Good luck with e-bay, the stationery and all the time and work you have ahead of you!

lol... you two!! :)

we will be using 'St Michael and all angels' in helensburgh for the service, (our 'church of england' church) all the way up here in scotland lol...
rachael and ben have decided they would like to get Phoebe christened at the same time right after the wedding ceremony. (2 for 1!! i like it!! lol...) she will be a few weeks off her 1st birthday, and they do want her to be a flower girl, yes, she will be a little one! lol... but a cute little one which will probably run around, squeal and throw her flower halo around like a Frisbee no doubt!!
i've emailed the sea plane company to see if they will 'fly' them over the hill from helensburgh which is on the banks of the clyde, to 'culag' which as you can see is on the banks of loch lomond. (5 mins by car) we would like the guests to be there to greet them off the plane at the venue, aren't we romantic!!
i would love you all to come over too!! that would be lovely!! lol... but i didn't see you write that, as it is your secret! lol...
i didn't realise just how expensive everything is!! unbelievable!!
£770 for 2 cars, £1050 for a videographer, the same for a photographer and on and on...
your pocket will thank you for having a boy!! lol...
i will keep you updated as to how this monster grows arms, legs, more arms, more legs. so on and so forth!
night night!! love jacquie xxxxx

It all sounds so lovely and wonderful! What a lucky couple to have you doing all this for them. I really do wish I could be there to see it. If only......

Well if you can't make the wedding in Scotland, you could always make the one down under in March next year.
And Jacquie, you think those prices are over the top, you should see the ones down here.
Just as well daughter 1 had a wedding at home last year, and daughter 2 is still only in the thinking about a wedding stage.Bridezilla is alive and well over this way.

Oh my, I don't know if I should say congratulations or watch out for bridezilla! I hope things settle down for you with her.
I don't know of anywhere that wedddings aren't expensive, even the ones at home!
