I just bought some turkey lacers today at the grocery store and they are by GOOD COOK. Can't wait to make some!

The directions I followed when I made them called for Aleens Jewelry and Metal glue. I used Superglue. After gluing my fingers together twice, I switched to the gel type Superglue--works much better! Worked much better. Here are the directions that I followed: http://quiltville.blogspot.com/2012/...stilettos.html

Belfrybat and Mscupid804,
You both beat me to the punch but its all good! Yes the lacers are made by Good Cook and I found them here close by at our local Sweetbay grocery store. Belfrybat sending you a pm! Mscupid804, I agree with you on the size of the beads but here's what I found: at Walmart in the bead section I found a string of beads labeled Glass Beads in assorted colors. Most of these beads are large enough and as well I also found $1 packets of bronze-like beads that I use for "stoppers". They work very well. I use the Aleene's jewelry and metal glue tho I must say that afterwards it is a bit hard to get it off but I use nail polish remover, acetone works well. Trust me I"m no expert on beads but so far its working

Crafty Darlene - You are very welcome. Glad you like everything.
Krystyna - Thank you for a great package. I received a very pretty scarf, several pieces of material, pins, needles, M&M peanuts, quilt magazines and a craft pattern (great ideas for gifts). Thank you for everything!!!
Thanks ladies for the info on the Stiletto pins. I got one in a sp package and did not know what they were called. Mine has very pretty turquoise beads. They remind me of the old hat pins I have. Hope to make some.
