No, I just don't put my name on the roster. I wait to see how many I have to do to complete the 12 participant swap. Once I had to make 4 sets. If we are short, I usually do the make ups.

deb

you don't have to do that - i certainly don't mind getting dups of blocks if we're short or receiving some of my blocks back.

you do so much for us already you really don't need to kill yourself making blocks tons of blocks too.

All wedges turned and finger pressed. I still haven't located the Purple Thang. DD 14 ended up helping me last night. After another futile search for the Purple Thang, DD grabbed the small screw driver, that comes with the sewing machine. Smart girl. It worked really well in turning and pushing out the points around the tip. Next is pressing all of them.

Deb please do not feel obligated to make up for different sets. As long as I end up with 12 it doesn't mater to me if multiples are all from my original set.

I PM'ed you Miss Deb. I'm hoping to do TWO sets of the Poinsettia. I am posting my first set. It isn't sewn down and my leaves aren't what I hope them to be. Hopefully you will get the idea and approve.

As soon as I put together the second set, I'll post it too. I was at my LQS getting a pink for my first set...and....this new set of pinks....well.....really......they JUMPED out and BEGGED me to make them into Poinsettias. How could I say no?

Was tempted to do a snowflake too.... So many fun fabrics!!!!

First Poinsettia...First Dresden EVER....

Thanks so much! I am so nervous doing stuff here with so many pros.

I have one question about the sewing. How are the seams pressed? I pressed these open. Is that proper or more work then necessary? And what do you think of yoyo's in the center? My research of poinsettias shows they have tiny tiny centers and I'd like to mimic that more...unless it takes away from what a "Dresden" is. I guess that was two questions HAHA
