Default October Fat Quarter Swap : Christmas/blenders and a side swap too!

Better late than never (groan). My apologies for getting this sign up late I had my days mixed up. Thank you to Jaba for reminding me to um.. get my post up .. pretty please

OCTOBER Fat Quarter Swap is CHRISTMAS/Blenders and a side swap to boot!

This month we are swapping FIVE FAT QUARTERS in a Christmas themed print and/or Blenders to go with them. This gives some of us who are not so quick time to make something to gift for Christmas! There is a method to my madness I know it seems whacky so early but think about it if you gift something with Christmas fabric you want them to have the whole month to enjoy it ideas of prints are endless from Jolly old Saint Nick, Frosty the snowman, snowflakes, poinsettas, cream with swirls of gold, white with snowflakes, blue frosty prints.. think White! Red! Green! and Creams or Blacks with metallic to match your prints. Plaids? stripes? dots! the choices are endless. Make sure all swapping items are 100 percent QUILT QUALITY COTTON and that the size is a minimum of 1 fat quarter per cut. Try hard to not have a short cut. Give what you would like to receive!! I want everyone to be happy with this swap.

I am accepting sign ups for this swap until the 1st of October. I will assign PARTNERS and it is your responsibility to come back to the swap and look for the posting and notify your partner. Its usually on the first to second page. I am also accepting sign ups for an additional swap of your choosing. I will post that list of available swappers and what they have to swap. Its your job to notify me when you have heard from them and I will remove your two names from the list so your not stuck with 100 swaps! (unless you want them of course). So get excited and sign up now! We are more than willing and ready to take your sign ups if you write me and notice your name is not added to the list please notify me PM and I will take care of it immediately if possible. We have some who will swap more than once but not always.

To sign up for this swap please PM me with the following information: Your name, address and what you would like to swap. Also how many you want to swap no more than two swaps per person. unlimited side swaps

If you only want adult Christmas/Holiday then say so. If you want novelties say so. Be as specific as you can so your partner can pick fabrics that most likely will please you. Note not everyone has both so be understanding. If someone wants adult and you don't have adult Christmas perhaps you could swap them blenders/tone on tones to replace the lack of fabric that they want. Same with novelties you don't have any? perhaps you have stripes and zig zags? open your mind to the possibilities. You might be surprised at what you do have.

I was when I reminded Miss Brat to get it posted. I'm in for Christmas but no novelty fabric. Just don't have a reason for it anymore. I do have some here that I would gladly pass on and trade, just don't want novelty back.I'm open for side swaps also if anyone is interested.

Just saw where you said better late than never about posting the sign up, were you late?? I don't think so...
Brat, you know I'm always telling you I don't know how you do everything you do.. and hostess this swap!

I'm with you, Jaba.. I don't really want any juvenile/novelty Christmas fabrics, I have plenty as it is.
But that being said, I told Le Bratinski that I'd be open to swap whatever (well, almost )

Sure hoping you get a pkg or 2 tomorrow, Jaba!!!

Okay I am in. I love this swap an can't wait to find out each months swap. That being said I have a dumb question. What do people consider novelty Christmas vs. Adult Christmas? I asked a friend and we had 2 different ideas so I thought I better ask.

Adult fabric: poinsettas, trees, winter scenes, ornaments
Novelty fabric: reindeer with silly smiles, santas surfing in Hawaii... does that help?

if you want specific things you have to post with ME first please also with the side swaps send me the note you want to do those and what you want to send/receive then it will go onto a list for all to see. after I post that list your free to add to the list. just posting here does not get you on the list. I cant be everywhere (weird but true). so make sure you send me a sign up PM please thanks guys! and no swapping til we we get the list up. Period. its not fair to those who play the right way that people pair up way before the sign ups are even over. phew.

I love novelties. cute little bunnies with presents for eachother? oh yeah. also love the glittered Christmas fabrics oh big time. I really love those. sucker for sparkle. I love burgundy type reds over cherry reds most of all. you see we all love something different. make sure you let me know what floats your boat and I will make sure to pair you with someone who wants or has the same thing TELLME WHAT you have to trade and what you are willing to trade back. phew. got that I think. for now at least. SIGN UP TODAY and have fun with us!

Oh Brat, metallics...I'm in heaven for those... Never met a metallic I didn't like. Even a grinning reindeer sitting at a slot machine. If it's metallic, send it right on over!

lol me too.. I always by them by the 1 yrd because of the price but man if I could many would be in multiples of four. great thing to make a quilt out of. Last year I received this killer quilt from Robert Kaufman metallic and its stunning combined with some metallic fabrics that are blenders omg I am in love with it. nap with it every afternoon

I love the kid fabric too just because it reminds me of growing up. soon I will have grand children and think a few things with kid fabric will be well received. like a tree skirt or a throw for them to use while laying under that tree. That said I love the adult fabrics for home décor and vintage Christmas? oh double swoon. this is the best swap of the year LOL because one can add to their stash of oh I love that do I want to use it though? fabric that is just too great to use.. my daughter takes it and puts it stretched over a canvas each year. three that coordinate lined up festively on a wall.. then you can take the fabric off and still use it the next year! fabric is so addicting. I hope I didn't offend anyone in my post. I mean no disrespect but its easier for me (which is what counts these days) to get notifications then I simply save them in the in box til the swap and can open each one and apply it to a list very easily. so forgive me if I was too harsh there. I seriously meant no harm.

Kiffee just to let you know I did receive a package today from you and posted it on the correct thread. Thank you so much, think some of these will work perfect with the focal fabric that I have. Brat sent you a PM just to be official and let you know for sure.
