Linda, I remember those cards too. They were gorgeous. Such pretty glitter and the kitties and hearts. I am old fashioned too, and love anything Victorian. They were so much bigger than those tiny ones today, but cost less.

Had a lovely day spending money on fabric!!! Year end clearance sales are super!! 30% off all fabrics, and there were closeout specials of $4.95 per yard on clearance! And the amount of lovely valentines fabrics that are out there. Just yummy!! I'm set now!!! (probably have enough to make 5 quilts and 10 mug rugs!!)

oh I love the idea of a vintage style valentines, lacy is good like the old doilies that went around valentines absolutely! I too remember decorating a box in my house I was always given a shoe box. lots of kids lots of boxes to chose from lol. It was so important to keep it right. See I was a very introverted child. (shocked I know). I was silent most of the time but I was so much into my art work. it was so important to make something perfect. now I know it was so far from perfect but to me? at 7? it was perfect sorta the same way today only mouthier. I know perfection is in the eye of the beholder. Just know whatever is made for you is a gift of love. and that.. is perfect if you ask me. So get creative, think outside the box or inside as you chose its all PERFECT !

now back to those valentines.. ok how about arrows and hearts? or is it Angels and hearts? or is it red white pink gold silver modern creations? I am betting we will get all sorts of them shown here. at least 12 now right? CANT wait to get my partner ready for one right now!! ok today or Friday because I cannot sew on T THUR OR SAT so thinking of pulling out my fabrics right now to get going on it! but I will wait. my partner will chose ufo's and I will have out hearts and dots! patience patience.. ugh I hate that word sometimes!
