What a great day today started off to be!

After nightmares about putting together our tax returns with no paperwork so we could meet the deadline to file for an SBA loan to rebuild two wonderful things happened. First the SBA extended the deadline. Second, we brought what we could to my new best friend at H&R Block and he pulled the rabbit out of the hat for us! So happy, happy, happy dance and I can put the xanax away for another day!

Then we hopped over to the post office to see if there were any packages for us. Usually they'll leave a note in the mailbox here, but we haven't received any ... WOW!!!! Five packages!!!!

Fayza sent me a delightful package as my SP and I will post pix later on

And I received the most beautiful friendship star quilt that Rosemary (Ladybug1938) organized and Faye (Fayzer) quilted. I was in tears looking at each beautiful block. What a wonderful, wonderful thing you've done! I can't tell you how touched I am. Will post pix later. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Other than the Xanax, I've no idea what any of the rest stands for, but I am so pleased things appear to be turning a corner for you. Long may it continue!

Knitette, SBA is Small Business Administration - a government bureaurecratic entity that is designed to make small business owners cringe and have bad dreams!! H&R Block is a national company that does income taxes for people.

Teresa, I know what you mean I would have contributed a block or two
for this also.

K - I KNOW exactly what you are feeling, several years ago many of my
internet friends on a website called cafemom got together and made ME
a quilt, there was no real pattern only thing the organizers wanted was for
all the blocks to be predominately yellow (my favorite color).

Then one day 3 years ago this month a box arrived and in it was the most
awesome gift I had ever received from people whom I did not know in person
but will forever remain in my heart because of there random act of kindness
to me.

Enjoy a quilt made just for YOU by people who think you are special, and awesome.

I try to help as much as I can to ALL swappers here, but our
international swappers seem to get hit hard because we can't
track out packages to them.
This month was my FIRST international
swap and I would not be apposed to doing it at least 2-3 times a year.
Sure you can track them. If you used the small green form, the tracking number is on top of the white portion. Just take a photocopy or write the number down. It tracks just fine. It's been a while since I used the long form, but you get a copy of that and can track with that number. I'm tracking one right now going to the Philippines -- it just left Hawaii.

My post office told me the only tracking available was in the USA. Once it leaves the USA there is no tracking.I have used the green form many times but only in US. I paid almost $15 for a registered package, to have the last package I mailed to Ughanda signed for at every stop it made along the way. The first package I mailed to him took right at 5 months to reach him. But then again, it seems like almost every Post Office will tell customers different things.

I have finally settled down for the evening ... so here are pix of my wonderful package from dconroy84. Thank you so much. She sent a lovely lined basket, a coffee mug, a chocolate bar (that miraculously lasted until I got to take a photo) some gorgeous saffron thread, a Be Happy note book, an inspirational magnet, a sweet towel that I will use every day while I imagine what I'd like my new kitchen to be, a colorful nail file, and some really cute fabrics!
Thank you so much! Love it all!
