This is another swap for funky chickens. By funky, we mean that it can be a silly pattern, a regular pattern made up in unexpected colors, a great chicken fabric fussy cut......anything that is fun will work for this swap. The intent is to have a great time!

The swap is open to all experience levels.

Blocks can be any size that is divisible by 3" (plus seam allowances). They can be square, or rectangular.

Blocks will be swapped in sets of 6. 1 set = 6 blocks. You may make as many sets as you would like to receive back.

**Please note that we will be swapping out all 6 blocks, and you will not be getting one of your own back. If you'd like one of your blocks you will need to make an extra.

Blocks should be mailed to me in a ziploc baggie inside an envelope, with your name and board name on each individual block. You need to include a Flat Rate envelope with postage on it for me to send your return blocks. The return blocks may be different sizes than ones you sent in. *If needed, just send enough postage for FRE, and I will get one at the post office.
Please include adequate postage!

Sign-up deadline is March 31, 2011. Please only sign up when your blocks are done and ready to mail. Mail blocks to me no later than April 15, 2011. Blocks will then be swapped and mailed out by April 30, 2011.

All of the general rules for swaps also apply here. http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-20154-1.htm.

Come on everybody........join in the fun!!

Hi Amma,
Blocks can be 3x3, or 6x9, or 12x12, or 12x15, etc. Any size you'd like to do, as long as it is divisible by 3".
For block ideas, pictures, etc. you can go to "search" and type in "funky chicken". There are pictures there for you to see what has been done before. :)

Great! This swap looks just terrific for the new year. I can't wait to get started on creating a funky chicken... something with attitude! Thanks Mariposa for hosting this one. I won't have far to send my blocks since we are almost neighbors! :-D

I am originally from Benton City, but now I am in Denver. What a small world.

I am going to try out a sample block before I commit, will check back later
