Sent you a pm.

Really looking forward to this! I am going to make one for my grandson (first and only grandchild, apple of my eye!), and this will be so much easier than trying to find that many different fabrics.

Stitchingpost............you've got the right idea........just about any novelty fabric.........I cut myself out of a cereal box a 6 inch square with a 5 inch square cut out of the middle ........that way I can make sure the size and placement of the design of the fabric works before I buy and cut the fabric........some designs are too large for 5 inch squares .........and some designs are spaced too far apart...............but then again if you want to fussy cut the 40 blocks you can do that..........lots of possibilities.......
