cuppy-- so sorry for your loss. words just aren't enough, i know. i lost my mom to alzheimer's in december and it hit like a truck. i hope you are doing well. you are in my heart and thoughts.

i guess many of us have mothers that have reached the final stage of life. my mom was 91 and certainly had a much better life than she could have ever dreamed of. she had a true love story with my dad, married 63 yrs when he passed.

i think we all recognize that people don't live for ever, but when it is your mother, or your father, it is a different story. but they do live on, in our actions, the values they taught us, and the values and traditions we pass on to our children, and very importantly, in our memories of them.

i wanted to mention, i was right to be worried about my swap partner. she had quite a calamity! i will let her share the details herself, but suffice it to say, she has good reasons for being delayed. i can wait.

This one reminded me of a fire escape in the city at night during the summer. Like when you sit outside b/c it's too hot inside.
