Let me begin by saying this... I am not a traditional quilter. Now my question. I want to turn these blocks into a king size quilt for our bed. Other than sewing all the blocks in rows and columns, or sticking sashing between the rows and columns, what else makes a big quilt look special? 6 blocks X 6 blocks is about a 6' square. Add a border and that is big enough? Add too much between and it drags the floor, creeps off the bed, wanders down the hallway??? How are YOU going to make your blocks into a quilt?

Remember my fabric is the rose, purple, green , gold, beige floral print. I found a complimentary fabric, same pattern only in rows. I bought that thinking it would be sashing. I also bought way too much of the original fabric, so I think I have enough of that for the backing.

hugs, Jupiter

I haven't heard from my October or November partners either!! I mailed thier blocks out on the 1st!

I'll play with you Nancy!! :)
Hi!

I hope your received my block! I'm your October partner! I sent it off towards the end of the month!!! I'm posting a picture so you can see what it looks like.
Avoid confusion --- remember that the last day we are supposed to mail out the month's swap block is the last day of that month --- and life does happen and if someone can't make the date to mail out they should PM to the co-ordinator and their partner. I for one get really confused when almost before I get the message assigning a partner they post that the block is in the mail! LOL So, your Nov. partner has until the 30th to mail the swap block to you.

Jupiter, did you mean for this post to be on the Boomerang 3.0 Swap?

I know exactly what you mean. When I did the September block swap, I got it ready and sent it right away. Didn't get one back until August. Didn 't learn a thing so sent the October one right away, Didn't get mine until the very last day of October. Well, guess I learned the lesson, not sending my November block out for at least a week.

Well said, WilliP. Thank you!
Participants are assigned partners at the end of the month for the following month, and have one month to make and send their block. If a problem arises, please COMMUNICATE!

It would be helpful to me, if each of you could please send me a PM when you have sent your block each month and when you have received a block each month so I can edit the Activity List as we go along through the month. {for assigned partner swaps only - not necessary to "extra" swaps}.
THANK YOU!
