Loved the birthday photos, gals - thanks for posting!!! I well recall the hippie days - the 1960's were THE bestest. As far as 1/2 century, you are right - it's just a number. I often feel like I'm 20, and well, I consider everyday a gift. I'm happy to get older, as it beats the alternative, if you know what I mean!!!

Mdall - glad Justus is OK. He reminds me of my DGS, Markus. Just a lovable "Dennis the Menace" of sorts. They can scare the bejeepers out of you, but you just can't get angry when they look at you with big eyes and their innocent little faces.

Mailed my SP's package at lunchtime today to Region 8. Now I have to go PM Lori. I have pics because SP partner can't post, but if I post the photos now, the dog will be out of the bag - she will definitely know who she is. We have been associated in a swap prior to this month's, also. I'm sure she will figure it out from these last hints. It's going to be there Saturday, or so the USPS lady claims.

Night all, and happy Friday. Ana - get some sleep, OK??

Knitette, so glad you received your package and like it. It was so much fun shopping and putting your package together. The candy bar pack was new to me also, I liked the quilt patterns that came with them.

I just got home! What a crazy month~ no rest for the wicked!

I got my SP from Vanogay! Yeah thank you so much! Hubby said is there chocolate! So he ran off with candy bars and kitty ran off with the kitty treat! I love the fabric and the pattern and the pen and pencil. So many cool goodies in that box. And the Veterans pin really meant a lot to me! I am a VET so I collect them and I didn't even put that on my SP list! So how cool! I will post a picture tomorrow when we unload the truck and get camera!

I just can't believe that thanksgiving is next week! Where did this month go?

SewDamnCute,

You made my day. Worked 12 hours on the budget for the state of California... came home and crawled into bed. My husband came in the room and said, "Thsi came for you." I got a second wind, and excitment surged.

WOW... what a package I got. I love turtles and have collected them for many years. I got the most awesome tutrle bank that will find its new home on my desk tomorrow. In addition, I got a wonderful new "turtle" tote in my favorite colors. I was in need of a new tote.

I got thread and buttons, chocolate and licorice. THe book of Christmas crafts is great too, since I have a rule with friends that all gifts have to be handmade. I love the acorn pin cushion and the fabrics are so me. I love bright and cheerful.

I love the pilgrim figurines. They will the on the table when I host my pinochle Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday.

You made my day. Thank you so much.

I'm tired... one more day to go.. I stayed up too late last night finishing a good book. And then had weird panicky dreams about not doing something right and I can't remember what I was doing in the dream but it's not anything even remotely related to anything we've learned at this job.. haha.. that's probably why I was running on a low level panic attack all day today.

I like the pics.. post more pics.. they're easy for my brain to process.. I can look at pics.. i can't read anymore words and actually understand them.

Well, today is my B/Day #70. Wish I could say I don't feel it, but thank GOD I am alive. A wonderful husband, 6 children, 18 grandchildren and expecting 6th great grandchild. I am blessed.

Happy Birthday Brenda.

Happy Birthday to all those who posted and to those who didn't post. I'm in between those 50s and the 70s - although I'm waaay closer to 70 than 50 and I parrot Twinkie's words "Thank God I'm alive" Can't say they were all the greatest years, but we made it through them and have wonderful friends to celebrate more with. Happy Living to everyone!
