“Things That Go Bump In The Night!!! Anything that relates to “night” is the theme for October!!! 6-1/2” squares, up to 6 sets.

Registration is open to the first 130 Sets or until October 12th, whichever comes first.

Group Activity Page is: http://www.quiltingboard.com/group_a...sp?gracnum=213

Each swapper will submit 12 – 6-1/2” squares of any 1 UN-WASHED 100% cotton fabric that encompass anything dealing with nighttime such as owls, celestial, stars, moons, sleep, ghosts, etc. Use your imagination! *(If you have any questions please ask.)

Squares should be carefully rotary cut from UN-WASHED 100% cotton fabric. If needed, please take the time to fussy cut. Fabric contains two selvaged ends. Make sure you completely CUT OFF BOTH!!! (If you have questions about the selvage ends, send me a message.) Select fabrics that will hold up to a lot of love, wear, and tear as well as multiple washings. Fabrics that fray easily, or are fairly easy to see through are not good fabrics for this swap. Please be advised that fabrics that are NOT appropriate related fabrics, squares that are not square, off grain, those that are not the right minimum size, those with the selvage edge still attached, or those that are deemed unusable by me will be returned unswapped.. Please keep in mind I have the right to return all or part if your set is deemed unacceptable…so please take the extra moment to look over your 12 squares carefully before sending to me.

I will accept squares 6” – 7” as most of us will use them as is. Anything less than MY 6” measurement will be returned. If you are unsure of your accuracy, over-sized squares will be accepted as they can be cut down to size if need be... please nothing over 7”. Approximately 1/2 of a yard will yield 12 count – 6-1/2” squares nicely. If you are fussy cutting, please buy extra.

*~*~* Please PM me all the info below: *~*~*
Board name:
How many sets you're doing:
Date when you plan ship your package by:
Your real name:
Your mailing address:

*After I have received all of the info I will add you to the list of swappers and send you a message with shipping instructions and a checklist.

This swap was approved by PatriceJ. Click the following link for general swap rules. http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-20154-1.htm

Here’s how it works: - In your packet (flat rate envelopes work great and will hold up to 6 sets beautifully) to me you will enclose:

** 1 quart size (Hefty/Ziploc) slider bag with 12 count – 6-1/2” squares of ONE fabric for each set. Fabric must be UNWASHED, ironed and in quart size bags for safe passage thru USPS. *Please remember that each set should be cut from a DIFFERENT unwashed fabric and in SEPARATE baggies.* There is a SIX SET limit in this swap.

** Write YOUR screen name ON your baggies along with SET amounts. For example, if I wanted to do 4 sets (i.e. 12 – 6-1/2” squares of 4 DIFFERENT fabrics), I would write YosamitesaX4 on the bag in a Sharpie or pen that will not rub off or on a label attached to the baggie.

** Please staple a piece of your fabric on the outside of the baggie.
A piece of your fabric is required stapled on the outside of the individual baggie for identification purposes. (See picture)

** Include sample pieces of each of your fabric stapled to 1 small piece of cardboard/cardstock/paper/etc. The fabric must be big enough for me to determine which fabrics you sent in; approximately 2”x3” from your left over fabric is perfect. Also include on the paper your board name, your name and your mailing address (an address label works great). (See picture) My goal with this is so that I will NOT give you any of your fabric back. This helps me keep up with what everyone sent in as a quick reference, since I will have (hopefully) over 100 sets and a toddler who gets into EVERYTHING!

** Also in your package include a self-adhesive return address label, and return priority postage of $4.95 – DO NOT SEND YOUR OWN ENVELOPES. Should you require delivery confirmation, (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!) an additional $.70 is required (total with delivery confirmation is $5.65). Please remember that if you do not send enough return postage I will not be able to return your swapped squares until you send me the difference. IF YOU DO NOT SEND AT LEAST $4.95, I will return your squares unswapped once postage is received. After 30 days, I will donate the unclaimed squares to charity. Due to quick turn-around I WILL NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS!!! Postage stamps, Post Office money orders, or concealed cash at your own risk will be accepted as forms for shipping costs. I would prefer postage if possible.

I would like to have these in hand no later than 10/19/2011. A post mark no later than 10/13/2011 should give the USPS ample time to deliver without a grace period. After 10/13/2011 PRIORITY shipping is recommended. After 10/18/2011, OVERNITE shipping or FedEx, etc. is required.... International members need to send them to me sooner- PM for details.

Please remember that any packages received after 10/19/2011 will be automatically returned unswapped. Any member not fulfilling commitment will not be accepted in any of my future swaps and negative feedback will be posted to members account per Moderators requirements.

I will then sort 10/20 –10/27 and hope to mail out squares on 10/28/2011 –No later that 11/1/2011.

Any questions please pm me. I'll be happy to assist any way I can.
Happy quilting everyone!!!!
