Well, I just tracked my SP package and it looks like it will be delivered on MONDAY! YAY maybe I will be lucky and get my package from my SP on Monday as well....but here is a little hint to whom my secret pal is....the color of fabric that she was looking for was pale yellow...and she does not like licorice either....

There has been quite a bit of discussion about why members do not post on this thread after they receive their packages and why they do not post photos. I know that it is very disappointing when your partner doesn't post anything especially when you have put so much time and effort into the package and often included little handmade things. So ... I asked my two SPs -- neither of whom posted photos or on the thread -- why they didn't. Both had their reasons and I respect that.

For me, most of the fun is gone when so many don't bother to leave hints or don't post photos or don't post at all. You sort of feel like you just sent a nice package off into outer space or kicked it out the front door to wait and see who picks it up.

So, after putting so much personalized effort into them I had to ask myself, "Why bother?" Two in one month is too much for me, so with that, although I've made some lovely friends here and I really have to think about whether I want to continue.

I hope this doesn't discourage anyone new. I've had a lot of good months here, too and I'm certain you will, too.

uh oh. you cannot reconsider yet. i havent received a "krystyna" package yet and i want one. cant you consider reconsidering after i get my krystyna package?:( i promise to post photos, i really do.

but on another note, i have long given up any expectations of my recipients posting photos or comments about packages i send them. yes i agree that it would add to the swap pleasure to see photos or even thank you posts but in the year+ that i have been participating, few photos of my packages have been posted. i do take pics (a few i missed when camera was "lost") and certainly have the option of posting the pics i take after my pals lemme know they have received.

i'm sorry this is putting such a damper on your enjoyment but i have found that most of the swaps i have participated in only a few posts pics.

I can certainly understand how Krystyna feels. I've had swaps where I've never heard a thing and others where they have gushed and even given me a +1. I guess it is frustrating. Why folks don't post a pic if they have the ability, I dunno. I'd certainly like to see the goodies Krystyna makes, besides I haven't had a Krystyna box either!!! lol, so she can't leave till Hav and I get one. Just go back to one box! Don't have two frustrating swappers.

As for SEGASAL, well, I don't like licorice, so I got one right. ;)

Yeah, I just downloaded that PDF for the Wavy Tote Bag from the digest. Now, I'm looking at my bright daisy fabrics and going...hmm...

So, Mary, what did you download? :):D

I am in that club too! I have a couple of full binders full of patterns I have downloaded and have just filled one with just purse/tote patterns! I doubt I will ever make them all,as I find ones that are my favs I tend to make several times. I also have 10or so purchased patterns. I do, however, have a couple see &sew patterns that I don't want-I guess I just can't follow a traditional sewing pattern. I will be putting them up in my next sale.

rees, sorry to say but you are not my sp this time... :( it is someone else....

This is my first month doing this so I am still new....I am worried that my pal will not like what she gets. But that remains to be seen. I am hoping to do it again next month. We shall see how tight money is at the end of this month.

I haven't gotten one of her packages either, I did get a really pretty doll quilt this past week and some goodies along with it and I know I posted a picture but on the March thread and was told and I then reposted it on the April thread...No way are you quitting Krystyna.... Want me to come to that place out there somewhere by the sea????

Well, I have never gotten a Krystyna package either. She was the very first SP that I sent a package to. So that means she has to stay in the swap for at least 4 or 5 more months!!!!!!!!!!
