I think they will enjoy being a leaf peeper over a leaf pepper. LOL. It is beautiful during that time of year.

Block going out to tam..moo today. Picture in my signature if you just can't wait. :)

Received lovely blocks from Nelco and Kimberly (sorry, no username on the latter). Thanks so much, ladies. I can't wait to see how this quilt decides to come together.

Nelco kindly pointed out that the first block was not a block from her. So sorry to whoever made it! I was uploading the pictures at work, and I didn't have the name written down, and I guess wrong. Please, someone lay claim to this beautiful block! :) I'll know when I go home tonight, but for now I have no idea! :)

Ladies,
I just want to take a moment to remind you all of a couple of things (these are just gentle reminders and my duty as hostess ;) not aimed at any one person in particular :) )
1). Please remember to measure your blocks before sending them home. They should be 12.5" square. Not 13" not 11.25" but 12.5".
2). If someone asks for you to use their fabric a specific way or to not use specific colors, please abide by their wishes.
3). We have FOUR months to make blocks. There is no need to rush to get them done in two weeks. Sometimes rushing through looses the thought put in to the perfect block or color or even the correct size. This swap is designed to expand your block base, your color comforts and your friends :)
4). Any questions, complaints or anything of the sort...please PM me.
Hugs
April

I forgot to write to you about the history of the butterflies....When cleaning out my mom and dads place in 2011 after my dad passed. (mom passed on 2006) I found a plastic bag full of quilt blocks, pieces and parts, that my fathers mother had started. Amongst all of that there were all of these retro butterflies along with her paper template. All in retro fabrics. I have been saving them for something........then your request came along. So, even though the block is extremely simple. I thought it perfect for Grandma Cora's flutterbys. Thanks for letting me share.
