DogHouseMom -- Just want to say thanks. Your block came today. Can't believe you did 'Y' seams. I am totally impressed.

Remember that when you do send home a grown up block that it takes more then one forever stamp because you have more weight in it. Probably about 20 to 40 cents more.

I received a block that said postage due.

I mailed out 2 grown-up blocks on Friday to urgodschild2 and awilson. I hope you like them. I enjoyed making them.

Oh, I made a mistake. I received this lovely block from DogHouseMom. Thank you for the lovely block and can you please tell me the name of the block and directions to make the block.

it's from Quilterscache and it's called London Square. Word of advice though ... the HST's are all cut and put together individually. Not my favorite technique but it worked out in the end.

Glad it got there. The Y seams were unintentional and a surprise to myself as well. The block is paper pieced and the center square was supposed to be worked using 4 triangles but I didn't want to cut the fabric. So when I got to end and had the center square cut I thought ... oh my ... I just created a bunch of Y seams. I didn't want to take the paper off so I just jumped right in the deep end and paper pieced Y seams. Lo and behold ... it worked.
