LOL Annaquilts. Even the small groups can be as slow as the large groups. Well not that they are slow because we have 4 months to make all of them. I was in all 5 groups last time and I loved seeing all the different materials that people sent me and if there was a note I would do what ever the person said. I think I had to go out and buy more white. I generally have a lot of that but I guess being in 5 groups it pretty well depleted my supply. But I love to go shop so it didn't matter. I am like a lot of you here and I really don't have a lot of solid colors but I wouldn't want anyone who is joining to think that they shouldn't ask for a solid. Sending a note telling me what you want if most helpful. Being in five groups last time, I only got one block back that did not do what I asked for so I think that is a very good thing. Maybe some people miss the notes or misplace them or lose them. I can understand that. But it is so exciting to get material and work on a block and then to send them off to their owners. Then the next best thing is seeing your own blocks come back to you.

Many people have requested a different kind of boom block that I will be starting inbetwen April's booms. It will be where you send you choice of material and people make a specific block that you select from quilters cache. Some people where thinking of having quilts made with all the same design so we are going to be trying that one. So for those who finish their blocks early and want to join keep your eyes open for it.

this sounds fun! Ill keep my eyes peeled:)

I have a drawer full of solds and tonals that I save for the swaps. One of my fabrics is extremely busy and I thought solids/blends would be best for it. My batik stash have gone down - but I am always up to visitng a store and getting a little more!
And if anyone does applique - PLEASE make it secure. Some of the quilts are donated and who knows how many washes they will go through!
I love the banter - and if you sign up , please keep it up! We all love seeing our blocks being shown off when received, and I get the best ideas from all of you when the blocks are shown playing with each other! Just looking through past boms and the photos are awesome.

What I do to upload photos from my Iphone is take the photo, of course; go to safari or your internet connection from Iphone, go to this quiltingboard web site, find the thread I want to post in, then do just as you would when upload from regular computer. The trick is to be able to see where you are hitting the buttons at. I select the go advanced, then go to manage attachments browse button and then it should pop up to choose existing photos on your phone then, you select your photo, upload, then close window, then post reply. I am thinking that is all the steps. Give it a try.

Does anyone know how to post pictures on here directly from an iphone or ipad?

Click on "Go Advanced". Scroll down to "manage attachments". Then it lets you select camera, photo gallery, downloads, etc. After selecting picture, hit "upload" on rt side of screen. Once uploaded, click on "close window", then "post reply".

Oh, you con reduce size if you do it directly from your camera....if to big, it will not "upload"

Baby quilt I just finished. First attempt at FMQ ( little hearts in center of squares) nothing to do with this swap, but quiltermomma and alikat110 made it sound so easy and I have had soooo much trouble in the past, I just had to try it.

Hello, I'm new to the quilting board and new to sewing and creating quilts so I hope nobody minds simple blocks!
