Friends were flying in today but flights to Ohare are canceled so trip is delayed (and my house is CLEAN!). I have been watching a commercial about Ariz. and wonder if that would be a good place to try...hmmmm...well I won't be selling my home any time soon so it is just wishful thinking at this point.

I really did think that Ohio was the only state with the cardinal as the state bird. I guess I better stop quilting and do some reading. :( But I bet we are the only ones with Hang on Sloopy as the state rock n' roll song!

The cardinal is also our (VA) state bird.
