lovngrandma I resent your package hope it shows up soon. I never opened it just put a new label on it via Brenda's instructions. You need to go slow young lady and take it one month at a time. UH HUH just like me :)

I have mine ready for two next month. I love all the colors hoping for some sunny ones. My nephew wants an earth tone batik quilt for his baby girl. I want sunshine colors. I figure earth sky SUN right? going to la la la the browns for the most part and go for sunshine with a hint of turquoise. hope they dont hate me for it. oh well.. :) sent them this marvelous brown and puppy dog flannel quilt waiting for it to arrive. My best friend that should stall them for a while.. and the next will be a sneak attack. I am very feeling the lack of grandkids, grandnieces nephews.. what is it with kids waiting til they are 30 before they have kids? dont they know its easier when your YOUNG to raise them?

Being fairly new to sewing, how do I know if fabric is batik? I would rather not go to a fabric store to purchase anything, due to financial issues, so could use your help in determining if I have some in my stash. I hope I don't have to sit this one out.

sewellie try Connectingthreads.com and check out batiks ..I suggest this site only because its a fairly small site and it should be easy to navigate to see what they have so you can compare to your own stock. Most online fabric stores equilter etc have huge selections of batiks to peruse so you can best gather what the fabrics are like. I had to sit out last month it was no fun. Make it worse? I had a package sent to me! by mistake :( and had to forward it onward to its lucky owner. so hope you dont have to sit it out either. I just picked up a couple more so I can share away. I always check out for them on the clearance section of the bigger sites. I can't buy 12.00 a yard fabrics but like them a whole bunch so if they are clearing them out... well... now they are talking big time! especially if you get free shipping deals. can you say.. SWOOP?
