March fq swap
 

Description: This will be a monthly swap. You will sign up each month and you can choose each month whether or not to participate. You will be given a random person to swap with and that person will change each month.
Each month there will be a different theme or color that we will swap. There is a limit of two swaps per person.

**Each person will swap 5 fat quarters that go with the theme or color of the month.
**FQ's can be purchased or can be from your stash but they must be 100% cotton and they must measure 18 x 22 inches (standard FQ).
**They should be 5 DIFFERENT FQ's.

For the month of March the theme is Whites or Creames. It can be solids, blenders, tonals, or designs, patterns, etc., as long as creame or white is the main color. They don't have to be a matching set to each other, but they can be if you want. I'm posting sample pictures for this one, because I know there will be questions.
Since there isn't a whole lot to this swap, the turn around time will be pretty fast. Sign up until noon on February 28th, receive person's name and address by March 2nd and mail out no later than March 9th. Participants are required to PM me when they have received their FQ's and are required to post a PM thanking the sender. You don't need to let me know that you have mailed.

*When you send your FQ's please be sure to include your board/screen name so that people know whom to thank.

If you would like to participate please PM me with your board name, full name and address and the number of sets you would like to do. Two set limit.

Marymo Easter is the last weekend in March so probably not enough turn around time from ship to receive to useful?

I love your penguin fabric. we can be swap partners :) and you can swap me penguins. I think you could end up with all sorts if it includes white backgrounds. like.. Christmas.. and well anything goes I think as long as its white/cream/ivory even if its background. good examples I can work with those.

OMG ! ! I'm starting to look up block possibilities. White, cream, ivory. Think, think, think, what kind of block am I going to make of this. Do you like taxing my poor brain. LOL. I'll think of something, but WHAT? This one's got me nervous. What fun.

I am looking forward to see what you come up with jvan .... I thought of a snow blizzard block for my quilt. But then I'm still awaiting an inspiration for Feb's fabrics.

Hey Jvan you could add in some left overs from previous months maybe? or if the peeps that get you see your posting about making a block with them, maybe they will be able to send a nice variety that also has color. But if not, it will be interesting to see what you do with it.

that's right, rosebud! This is one of the best activities you can do on QB! people are great and swapping is fun .... I've enjoyed all the different fabrics that have been shown.

Ya'll will laugh at this! I checked my closet full of fabric...I have four with a white background, no cream backgrounds and I took my white on white over to my Mom's yesterday for her new project. I don't even have anything in my pre-cuts.

Looks like I'm sitting this one out.

Can't wait to see what ya'll come up with. :)

Craftygal-I had somebody else who doesn't have any cremes or whites in her stash and didn't want to have to buy any this month so if you want to swap with her and add one color of something else, I'm sure she would swap. ...let me know.

count me in for 2 sets, im in real need for cremes and whites, for blocks please, i have lots like pictured, but not white on white and well no cremes, would like not to buy any of those, l is that ok, thanks, oh and been days wiht no power so glad they go tit on today, almost missed it, glad i did not

Was going through my fabrics and think I found 4 so will have to dig a little more. Can't wait to see the pictures of everyone's packages.

Whew! I'm glad to hear we averted all kinds of entanglements! I hope tumrub got the pm sent to you. I really should not be on here when I'm tired of after my bedtime--who know what I might get my self into. And so I'll be waiting to get my swap partners..zzzzzz.
