Mary Quilting posted pictures of a sunny side up egg, chicken, and
peacock pincushion.

That's right friends it was ME who got them!!!!

Just got home from running a few errands and I saw there was a
"parcel" box key in my mail box the key is for larger lockers when
the package won't fit in the mail box.

Mary sent me such a WONDERFUL little note in which she tells me
that she loved the story that I told of how I felt mom was probably
making my grandpa some of her fried chicken.

She proceeded to tell me of a story of her mom as a child that was
about a chicken also.

So she made us BOTH a chicken pincushion to remember our moms
when we look at them.

The sunny side up egg is just so adorable also.

Lets not forget about the peacock pincushion where under the top layer
of "tail feathers" is felt for a needle case. Just too darn cute and awesome!!!

imagine my surprise when I finally looked in the may exchange and found out posting swaps was due today! i was working on the belief that it was the first of the month like the last one. dear swap partners, i am so sorry and please forgive me for being late. thinking i had two weeks, i was making my sister a birthday present first. wrong decision. i will try to work like a demon tomorrow, finish on sunday after church and mail on monday.

Not next week but got both of mine today! They are awesome and love them both and in my favorite colors with turquoise and purple. Tilted ears sent me this little 3 stack beauty...going right by my sewing machine instead of my old crochet one. mary quilting sent me a little owl needle case, a fried egg, and this amazing peacock that is a pin cushion and needle case. Pincushion collection
 

I have made a mention before about my collection of pincushions.

So I have been trying to think of how I wanted to display them all
in a way that my fur kids can't get to them (they love to play with
all of them). Then I decided I would get a long cafe style curtain rod
and the ring clips.

With my husbands help (he mounted the rod where I wanted because
I am to short to reach), I had decided that I was going to put them on
the edge of the ceiling where my living room wall vaults (hard for me to
describe any better).

Here are some pictures of my collection. I think I have more buried in
my fabric room some where, but until I can finish getting it cleaned up
I have no clue where to start looking. So far though I have hung 22 up
on my rod.
