Vicky M, thank you for the instructions for the little bag. I especially appreciated your tips on sewing with vinyl!

Just wanted to tell you all how I make my scrappy blocks like the strip blocks or crazy squares I use light weight interfacing for the foundation.... that way I can leave it on the back of the blocks... makes for a stronger quilt top and will wear better. Count me in I love those scrap quilts etc.

LOL here Rhonda. Just finished this last night. 1" squares individually pieced. Now for a couple of borders and I'm done. FYI 169 different squares.

I got this finished a gift for my DIL's bd yesterday. First time I mitered corners. The strippy red fabric a great choice for doing so.

Thanks Rhonda--there's something so simple yet dramatic about the TATW isn't there?

I loved the Trip from the time I started quilting 30 years ago. The Bear's Paw was hte first quilt block I learned to make and the Trip came not long after that. Here is a quilt I designed along time ago. I made it lap size. This one isn't scrappy but if you keep the values the same you could make it scrappy.

I called it Trip Around Nine

Here is a link that Julie in NM posted earlier. It is a 12 1/2" block that is made with 1 1/2" squares. I liked the block but do not normally cut my scraps any smaller than 2". So I thought if I made that block with 2 1/2" squares I may only need one block for a table topper. Here is my version with those squares. It comes out to 24 1/2" unfinished but I am going to add two more rounds of yellow and 1 more round of scraps. Thanks Julie.
