Rhonda's Member block swap for October
 

My first block swap and am so excited. I have a wonderful partner (jillnjo Nancy). I am hoping to give her something she will really like and am looking forward to receiving my first block.

Hi, Kitsy! I worked on your block today. I made all the boston blocks and now need to sew them together. It is blue and green and white. I felt like it took forever and I messed a few of the blocks up by turning them around the wrong way. I know any new technique takes making more than one or two blocks to get the hang of it. The nicest thing about Rhonda's blocks are that if you cut each square carefully, you are garanteed a block with perfect points. So far, I can't judge that I have made them any faster than a traditional way of constructing blocks. And it takes some learning as to judging the size of pieces to cut. I tended to cut some too large and that can be wasteful. I simply love all the blocks you can make that Rhonda has given the lay outs for. They are beautiful!

Thanks for keeping me posted on your progress. I do have some yellow fabric and some grey fabric. I got my templates today from Rhonda, now to pick out the blocks to do. Will keep you posted through the board so others can see how we progress.
