Okay....going to pm you for this one too.
Okay....going to pm you for this one too.
Alice, I guess it depends on what you want to do with it. Last year I bought my future DIL a Brother -- I don't remember what model -- a Project Runway model --but it was about $150 at Walmart and had 100 stitches. I liked it so well that I bought one for myself. Similar models are probably in that range or a little higher. I also had a Babylock Sofia2. I originally purchased it for the stitches but ended up using it just as an embroidery machine. Nice machine, but, IMHO, too expensive for what you get. Now I am using a Janome 6500 that someone on QB gave to me -- what an angel! I can really tell the difference in the power of the machine. So ... depending on your budget and what you want to use it for ... Brother and Janome get my votes~!

So, ladies ... what kind of green ideas are percolating in those creative brains of yours?
Count me in. This will be my 5th and I have enjoyed swapping doll quilts so much. I just wish the ones I send were as nice as the ones I receive. I'll keep working on it.
Hi doll quilt swappers. This will be my first doll quilt swap and I am really looking forward to joining you. I already send a pm.

Count me in for March also! Pat
Kitsy, don't even think that!!!! Everyone is at a different level in their skills and they didn't get that way over night. That's why I love the doll quilt swap so much. We get to try out different techniques on a small scale and build skills along the way. Yours are adorable!
