1. Yes, Lindy-2 is seeking contributions to support postage, backing and batting. PM her if you can help out.

2. Yes, it's true, we have one more abandoned quilter! Caroline's quilt to her partner was last seen at a post office in the U.S. but we have yet to receive confirmation that the quilt has actually made it HOME from the PO, and her partner also has stopped responding to attempts to reach her. We all hope she is okay. In hopes that we have not yet achieved quilt-swap fatigue, here's what Caroline said she would like to receive:
Design: I am a surprise me kind of gal!
Colors: I like blues, purples, lilacs those sort of colours.
Caroline is in the UK, so postage (and especially tracking) will be an issue, and I, for one, will contribute to the postage of any quilter willing to make Caroline a quilt.

Thanks!

Some money sent as a "gift" through paypal. Thanks for doing this! it is going to cost a lot of money to post this to UK. If someone hasn's already offered to make a quilt, i will do it. OR i can collect blocks in the colors she likes..or send a block out to whoever is going to put it together. let me know. Kim

i think i must of missed a post or two..there seems to be a quilt already made?

of any of you can donated a buck or two, please do. my guess is it is going to cost around $60 or $70. my mom lives in the UK, and we quit sending gifts because of the shipping expense! ( we send gift cards instead! )

I am not into the D9P but would gladly make Ohio Star blocks with the colors she mentioned. Maybe if I make 6 blocks make some others, nine patch(?), and they can be set alternatively on point or some thing? I am not scared of dealing with sending stuff to Europe.

Quiltermomma would you quilt it?

I'd gladly collect the blocks and make the top. Who can help with backing and batting and shipping?Either with materials or some $.

Lets get all these quilters their quilts.

If it is OK with Jillaine, I'd take our Brittish quilter and coordinate that.

Thumbs up

Thank you Lindy. I am still waiting on the green light from Jillaine but if she is OK with it I was thinking setting 9 stars on point and sprinkling 4 nine patch blocks in the center. Lindy would that be OK for you to make 4 nine patch blocks 12 1/2 inch square? If you want a back ground lets stick to white on white to try and tie it together.

I could also use some blue/purple or lilac squares for the setting triangles 4 atleast 13 1/2 inches square and 1 atleast 14 1/2 inches square. I anyone wants to help and has some left over fabric fitting this description, blues, purples, lilacs, it would take one envelop and one stamp to send one square. I was thinking it would be nice to have some hydrangeas fabric or something feminine even if it has some greens and with the other colors blue/purple/lilac but I could see different tone on tone work also.

Batting 60x60 or so maybe slightly smaller but it would need to work on a long arm.
Backing to go with the blue/purple/lilac theme also 60 x60 or a little smaller.
Binding 5 solid or tone on tone blue/purple or lilac strips 2 1/2 inches winde by 42 inches long.

If you happen to have it laying around and are able to spare some help would be appreciated.

Waterstide estimated $60 or $70 shipping. I would definitely need some help there. I'll have DH check too what the cost will be.

I put a check in the mail today to lindy-2. And I will be willing to send money for Carolines quilt also, as soon as I know who is making and or shipping.
Believe it or not-- I am still on the bench also. My partner is recovering from an illness. I hope to hear from her soon.
