I think I have finally decided on a pattern, now to pull some fabrics from my stash. Will try and get that done over the weekend and post a sneak peak. Of course by then, I will have probably changed my mind about the pattern...aaarrgghhhh I think prep is the hardest part of making a quilt.

I can't seem to decide on a pattern. Now I can't start for a while as I had surgery on my right hand Wed. but I'm on the mend & as soon as I get the bulky bandage off I want to start on this. Rhonda, I know you didn't specify size but what do you recommend? I don't want to go too big or too small.

it's hard for me to give any size. what size is comfortable for you to work on?
smaller than a lap quilt would to me be something about 3 ft by 4 ft maybe?
I'm a miniaturist so I am more comfortable with working on something like 14" x 14" or slightly larger.
your pattern will help to determine the size too

They can be square or rectangular like a table runner or octagon etc

i made my first one about 38x38 and i think it was over ambitious. not everyone has a wall space that big. lol. the only open space i have is my design wall, and only because i took down the painting that was there. this was temporary only a year ago! lol

Well I am reporting in, had to look real hard to find you~ my Wall hanging got snatched right out of my hand! Can you believe the gall of some people!!!!!

Actually I had started it several years ago for someone... Come to find out the someone I started it for showed up just as I was finishing it! Oh well, I still have plenty of time to make another.

I love the hints you are sending and I just can't wait to see what I get. I love wall hangings, I think I will make one for a door greeting. I am thinking summertime and Lemon Aid?
