I think it's darling! The leaves would make the yoyos look more like flowers rather than dots, which would reflect the flowers in print of the center. Did she indicate 'anything goes' in a note with the center, or did you ask if she had a preference about 3 dimensional components?

Did you seam rip the leaves? I thought that was so cute the way it was... :-)

It looks like a lot of applique! It's so kind of you to put in so much work. I've never made yoyos, or even seen them in person. I'd like to have been the person you are mailing to, so I could see them. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing the next picture! :-)

You ladies are doing an awesome job. I have a question in case I get to participate on the next one. Are the quilts still fitting in the $6.80 envelopes?

I like the border, gracefulann. I like applique too but with my limited sewing time, I usually do machine applique. Nothing beats the look of hand applique.

Kassaundra, I've bought 6 - 8 yards of fabric on eBay where they used an envelope to mail. I would think the quilt top would continue to fit in a flat rate USPS envelope through the last round. I've put 36 8" blocks very easily into the cardboard type flat rate envelope, which is cheaper to mail than the padded bubble one. The blocks had seams, so it would be similar to a 48" square top. Our 4th round is 52" square, so I would imagine it would go into a cardboard flat rate envelope. And the padded bubble envelopes are a little stretchy and easier to put more in them than in the cardboard envelopes. However, sometimes it's more economical to send a manilla envelope using the regional rate. It depends on how far the package has to go to it's destination. But! I'm mailing internationally, so the other girls will have a more exact answer for you. :-)

This one is actually mine. I am good with whatever you do on my round. It looks beautiful Wow hand applique that is awesome. Lv2sew's top has the poodle middle block I believe as I have not put a round on hers yet. It should be mailed to me next so I believe bzang has it currently.

I have little green leaves to add as well but I'm not sure it needs it. The pic is kind of dull because of my lighting issues. I'm working on getting a better light for my crafting cave but I wanted to post a pic and get some feedback. Tell me what you think!

Yes, I have the poodle. I've been away (yet again) but found an amazing fabric store. With some expert help, I found just the right fabrics to do my round with and will use the idea they gave me as well. Hint - it involves applique. This might take a while.

I received the red and white center in the mail today from ROS. I have a couple ideas about what I should do. I will let it talk to me a bit before I decide.
