I'm with you ssnare I would like to be put into a group that don't mind the sashing because my row looks so much better with it. And I already have my ready to mail with the sashing in it. Please if possible can you make a group that wants to do the sashing!

I am working nights right now and while I was trying to sleep today ideas kept popping into my head but now I cannot remember a single one! Last night I thought about reds/tans or patriotic. I am sure I came up with a fantastic idea that is now gone. Still stewing but hopeful....

I now remember some of my thoughts. Please, someone tell me what you think. I thought of Butterfly Garden (flowers, butterflies, bees, birds), Cowboys and Horses, Patriotic or Reds/Tans.

Am I going in the right direction here?

I am very excited about this. Can't wait to see who I get paired with! Listen to me and I haven't even been confirmed. Calming down (slightly) now.

Mary

I think any of your ideas would work just fine, Mary.

Glad you have a theme already, I haven't had time to go thru my UFOs to see what I can use for this to apply and if nothing there, have not decided yet what to do. I still have a little time to figure it out. This weekend when I go to the fair, maybe somethign will strike my fancy and I will do that for a theme. I know I do have a pile of African Safari theme fabric that might be fun to make daughter a quilt for college out of. I have been saving it from the lone star & beyond quilt I made her. still thinking.
Years ago I did a block exchange with a kitty theme and received some wonderful blocks. Never did put those together, so thought it would be neat to do another one that would actually be finished by the time it comes back! What is neat about this swap is that it will be challenging to work with different themes and come up with a row of blocks for each quilt in the group. I am always looking to expand my quilting horizons!

OK ladies.....something to think about as we get closer to the last day of sign ups.
I need volunteers for "team leaders" to kind of be my "point person" for each group.
Basically you would be the person who would alert me of problems with the group, etc.
Please let me know if this is something you feel you can do. THANKS SO MUCH!!!!

Marylane, all of your ideas sound great. To bad you can only choose one, that is if you are only doing 1.

Thank you and I agree! You know what? The red/tan is the only one that would be for me. All the rest are ideas I know family members would love. I had never heard of this sort of thing until I read this thread. Now I am trying to convince my aunts and sister to do a round robin, also. LOL
