Okay ya'll. Thanks for the patience while Shana and I got separated! LOL! We are sisters and live together and it didn't even occur to us to ask to be in different groups until the lists were posted. On to the big questions:
1) Sashing - include it if you want to, I still don't know what I'm going to do as far as sashing yet
2) Labels? What are they? What are they for? Permanent or removable?
3) A letter or note is fine by me or even just a post to the Group Thread
4) I'm all for mailing as soon as you are finished as long as the receiving party is ready for it.
5) I am all for tracking #'s (I tend to stress and worry )
6) Pictures please!
7) I would say to just include your preferences for attaching or not attaching in your instructions from #3
I'm am so pumped to get this started!

Texasunset,
I want to include a label so that each person can sign it, date it, and where they are from to sew on the back of the quilt when it's finished.

For me, I have always done labels by using heat'n'bond (or steam-a-seam) on the back of my "label" fabric - generally something neutral that blends with the quilt.
You can write on it with the Pigma Micron pens or the sharpies or other permanent fabric pens. Most likely, I'll just send something like that for you all to sign. I've seen Joanns and most LQS carry the pens for $2-4 each (depending on the store & tax).
Another option is to print one out on an ink-jet (either using the premade sheets @ Joanns, etc or by making your own) and sending that out along with your row. The nice aspect of that is you can print it out - so you can get pictures or graphics or whatever in the world that you want on it.
Google "quilt label ideas" and then look at the images that come up. If you can't figure out how to implement your idea, throw it out on the thread here and we can brainstorm a way to make it work.

I heard about a lady who asked every one to embroider their initials on one block for their row - cool idea as an alternate to a label on the back.
Not sure what I am going to do yet.

I forgot that my name isn't in my signature anymore... You guys can just call me Kelly. No one else calls me Mom except my son & my dog. Oh, and my husband when he's yelling at my son or my dog about something that I'm upset about.
