Took the words right out of my mouth!! I have like 10 minutes work to finish mine and just couildn't do it last night! Now that's bad. Five 12.5 X 12.5 blocks will finish out 144.5 in length, right? still leaves the 2 quarter inch seams on the ends. Thinking out loud here. My starter is NOT 5 X 12.5, but it does end up 133.5. I don't see any problem with it, and since it is mine, I guess that is what matters. My question is this: Do the ones on other peoples quilts HAVE to be 5 blocks? or can we get expressive? What is you all's feelings on this? I will comply with whatever you decide. I will actually post a picture of mine so you see what I am talking about. I just had one subject that was wider than the 12.5, and one that didn't need that much........ Can you tell I am pretty unconventional?

I don't mind, I tend to like quilts that have some interest and movement to them. That being said, I'll abide by what everyone else thinks!! I do, however tend to do that a lot on commission quilts since tshirts are not all uniform in size and I don't try to force cutting them to fit!
By the way, i did what I said I was going to do, I mailed my blocks out yesterday to Rainyday, so Lynda, be on the lookout for a Priority Mail flat rate envelope! I squished mine to fit cause I don't care, they will iron out flat. I promise not to do that on everyone else's blocks. A few $$ more to mail stuff flat won't hurt my pocketbook!

Well girls, I got my row shipped out with two hours to spare. How did you all do? Did anyone have any problems? I did, went to Cracker Barrel to celebrate and have lunch. Fell on the way out in the parking lot and have scraped elbows, knees and pride! I am really sore now. Please tell me you guys had a better day.

Tam Moo, the center block on my row will probably be removed and replaced. I had to cut a lot of it off to make it do. Machine embroidery blocks just would not work.

    Here are my pix:

I had two of these nine patches.

    CharlotteMarie,
I just got mine mailed out to you this a.m., so it should be there around Thursday. I had trouble with one block, I'm still not happy with it but I can fix it when it comes home.
BusLady, I agree with MizMelly on the size of the blocks. I'm ok with 5 same size blocks or 3 rectangular blocks or small blocks stacked - I like the added interest it gives the quilt.

Charlottemarie, I received your row today...the snow women are so so cute Nd I love the fabric in the nine patch blocks too. Would you prefer more snow-people blocks with more Nine patch blocks or just snow people?... Inquiring minds want to know.....

Those snowment are "to die for" I cannot wait to get that one. i am really into snowment this winter for some reason. Plans for a couple of things if I ever get caught up. I feel like such a slacker. My row is complete, I have my letter done, just need to proof it and see if it needs anything else, and I have to make my label. I PROMISE to have it in the PO before the end of the week. It is my intention to get home early tonight and finish it up for tomorrows mail. Oh, and I got my pkg from Tam...Moo Saturday. It is great, I can't wait to start on it. Been perusing the stash to find something that will work. Do you have a particular color scheme you want to stay with? Would you prefer to stick to the blue as the dominant color? Do you want us to stick to the colors in your floral boarder? So many ways to go with this, not sure what direction to take.

    MizMelly,
Your kitties were waiting for me in my mailbox yesterday. They have been very well behaved. I'm still deciding on what kind of friends to make for them. I'm toying with the idea of a Mardi GRAS kitty, or am I thinking too far out of the box with that one?

Tam Moo, I really would prefer more snowpeople. I worked on putting some embroidery snow people in 3 blocks and they just didn't look good. I would love to have all snowpeople. The 9 patch and the middle snowperson block are going to be erased when they come home again. I just was in a time crunch and had to do something to get them out on time.
RainydayQuilter, I will be watching for your row and let you know as soon as it arrives.
