I don't care who swaps with me. In fact, I have seen younger sewers actually sew better than some older folks. We have a 12 yr old in our retreats that sews beautifully. Her mother has a fabric store and also teaches quilting.

My DH has caught blue lobsters and also a yellow one. The other day when they were fishing off shore a small finback whale come up beside the boat and blew. It startled DH and DD they didn't know anything was around. The whale then dove and came back within inches of them. Guess he was showing off. She certainly will have many memories of wishing with her dad.

Love all the pictures of the kitties and dogs, have been taking a few of Pixie, but want to get one more before I put any more on here for you to see...
Would love to have Clare as a partner as there have been many girls and boys that I have taught how to quilt back when I had a 4 H group... Taught the girls next door also...

I wish i could teach to kids. wanted to start something here. even had the projects selected. but then they (the powers that be. the president of the condo) said what if someone sues? My main concern. You know how some people can be. what if a kid got stuck with a pin or needle and the parents want to make a big fuss. I wanted to know I'd be covered and not sued over it. well. that was then end of that. it would have given some of the kids something to do after school, but i didn't want to be a babysitter either. We have those type of parents here too. So sad about that.

Cool about the lobsters. and they are yummy too.

Lynnie What about engaging the mother as well as the child, like 3 kids and their moms and teach the moms too...
a 4 patch or something like that and then make it into a chicken.. ( tutorial on Missouri quilts).

All of the kitties are so so cute. Each one is just precious. All of the doggies are so cute too, and so so sweet.
I love all the fur babies. I am going to have to take some pictures of mine. I have plenty of them at different stages. I will have to go through them. We have 4 doggies. We lost our JoJo doggie last year, and our big white kitty Charlie earlier this year.

You don't have to ever ask me will I swap with Claire. Of course I would anytime. She makes such pretty things.

Dwina I would have loved seeing that whale. I love whales.

Have a great evening everyone.

At the top click on Settings. Then on the left side you will see change your signature. Click on that.

Moms didn't want to learn to sew, they wanted a babysitter actually. that was a big part of the problem, and I was responsible for them till their moms come, and some wanted it to be a babysitting service.

That's what happens when you do things for free. Here at the condo. you aren't allowed to charge for things like that. it was all volunteer.
have a great night all. hoping for more pictures tomorrow.

Claire is such a joy to have in the swaps.

It is so nice and cool this morning, 62 and only going up to 74. I'm making lists of all the things I have to get today before it starts getting hot again. I just can't believe it's Labor Day weekend.

Everyone have a great day
