Oh, this sounds like too much fun! I've been watching your Postcard swaps and Sewing Machine Day is too sweet to pass up. Count me in!

Oh my, the list is growing by leaps and bounds. Welcome to all returning players and welcome to all the newcomers. Looks like this month is going to be a BIG month. Thank you for making this the best swap ever!! I do not assign names until the 1st of the month. So, there is still plenty of time to jump in. Feel free to make your postcards whenever you want. The basic theme for this month is listed on page one.

I can't wait to see what you ladies come up with for September. I am still thinking over my design and I NEED to finish quilting a baby quilt before I can even start on my postcards. But, that is not going to stop me from designing my cards in my spare time.

Lol Pam, yes, plural. But you have to remember, I also said I was going to be sending my mom one of the themed postcards each month. A couple of years ago, I moved back to her home in KY to take care of her when she needed me. But, when she was much better, (and my brother arrived) I headed back to my DH and Son back to our FL home. She took great delight in seeing what I was doing for the swaps. So, I decided to include her by sending her a postcard each month also. Omg, am I defending myself. (gulp) I got it bad. Bitten by the postcard bug! Ack, who can stop with just one of these babies. lol.

What a great idea... I'm sure we call all think of someone who would love to get one. I know my daughter would love one so I think I will surprise her too.

I know, it really is a great idea. Since starting this in July, I have made 7 other (birthday) cards besides the swap cards and I have 3 currently in the works. This has been the busiest birthday month for my family so I expect things to settle down and maybe just send my mom one like Judith does. Right now I just send her pictures of them lol. (but she had a July birthday too.)

And speaking of pictures, Judith I was thinking of you saying you keep your postcards in a box. I keep mine in a box too and before I send my postcard to my partner, I print a 4 x 6 photo of it using my printer and photo paper and keep it in the box with the others because I like to see the ones I made too and before I know it I will have a nice little collection. Just an idea.

That's too funny Pam. I also keep a copy of my cards in a photo album. And, Of course, I do have some rejects that are in my basket as well. Postcards that didn't quite make the cut.

I also make extra cards to send out if I think someone needs a little pick-me-up. I love to send smiles to someone on whim and let them know I'm thinking of them.
